Excerpt: I've been using these headphones for a few weeks now to make work calls over Google Voice. They are much better quality than the cheapy analog headset I was using, but they are a bit heavy and I can't wear them for more than an hour or so without needing a break. Overall, pretty good quality for a decent price.
Summary: Since I have bought this product, there has been a few problems that make me think lesser of this headset. I had a bug where it wouldn't let me speak through my mic when it was charging, but eventually fixed itself. Another problem is that the volume intensity kept on going up and down for awhile without me touching the volume. I fixed it by moving the usb to another port.
Summary: I've bought this headset about 3 months ago, and I've noticed some great and annoying things. The wireless headset.... Yeah it's great :) I can walk through my whole house without losing connection. The 7.1 feature also makes the music on its best. Sadly, the 7.1 surround system isn't always on its best behavior. As it has times where it only plays music from the right side. And this forces you to turn on the 7.1 option. And that can make games/video's Quality mess up.
Summary: Great headset, love to use it. But just like previous reviews the sound seems to cut out quite often. I also enjoy gaming on my Mac and when i am using Skype my I get complained at that my mic cuts in and out. Other then the few issues this headset is very well made. Unlike most bulky headsets this one comes with great padding and is capable of being worn for hours. Could use a software maybe for the mac.
Summary: I ordered this headset , looking for a replace replacement of my old one. After ordering this during black friday it arrived in the mail the next day. First time using the headset was amazing, the 7.1 surround sound really does make a difference, However the mic is not a high caliber quality. Dont get me wrong, the mic is still very well, but i am, use to using a blue snowball mic, However keep in mind that any desk mic will beat any headset, no questions asked.
Summary: Comfortable, reliable, great sound (not just in games). Surround sound is particularly useful in shooters. Mic is great quality. Mic boom is sturdy, adjustable, and the mute function is wonderful. I don't use the G1-3 buttons. Good battery life and being able to charge while using them is handy. Volume wheel as apposed to buttons is a wonderful addition.
Summary: Pros: If you really like the convenience of wireless and aren't a complete audio nut, then this is the right headset for you. On my ears they sound great and I can get up from my desk to get some water without having to pause my music. Or I can program them to pause my music. It doesn't matter. I also use these for work calls over Lync, and my colleagues tell me that I sound like I'm standing right next to them. Cons: Their software suite leaves a little to be desired.
Summary: Overall a great gaming headset. Love the long wireless battery life though always wish it could last a little longer. Love the fact that it can charge and be used at the same time. Decent range. Only problem with it is the software you download to mange the headset doesnt always report the correct amount of time left in the batteries.
