Worked for half a year before failing horribly

Drayde, Newegg
  • Summary: Please don't buy this. It's an old product that needs to go away. The good reviews are from early owners, as the product is somewhat impressive at first.
  • Pros: Sounded and behaved well at first. Missed the ability to easily remove it from the system to switch between speakers, but I found semi-workarounds for that. Decent surround sound.
  • Cons: It began failing rather quickly.

Great Product when it works, software is Atrocious.

sepage90, Ebay

  • Summary: Good luck getting this thing to work properly on your computer. The Logitech Gaming Software is atrocious and the headset will only work if you install it a very specific way and will just stop functioning again after you restart your computer, wake it from sleep, or hibernate it. After that, good luck using Skype or watching any videos because for some reason it screws those up too.

OK If you want a wireless headset I guess

  • Excerpt: The buttons are much more useful that I originally expected, I set them to rewind/pause/fast forward so I can change tracks and such even when I am walking around with them on.

Constant pops and skips on playback

K. Hiemstra, Amazon
1 June 2014
  • Summary: Bought these as the "premium" headset for gaming and work webex meetings. They would be great if they didn't make popping sounds from time to time. I've been fiddling with them for 2 days now trying to fix the issue (trying older drivers, trying with or without the 7.1 turned on), etc... Turns out a LOT of people report this issue. Bottom line is the following will reduce but not eliminate the popping / skipping problems.

BUYER BEWARE

Smith, reviews.logitech.com
17 March 2014
  • Summary: If you wear glasses DO NOT buy this headset. The faux leather ear pads squeak against the frame of glasses. The squeak makes this unit unusable. Logitech support does not care. All they want to do is replace the unit with a new unit (with the same faux leather ear pads). NOTE: The G430 has cloth ear pads that are replaceable, but this unit does not.

Awesome

xploda92, Overclock
1 March 2014
  • Excerpt: I have had the wired and the wireless pair and must say I prefer the wireless g930s. I Can get up from gaming and go into the kitchen grab a beer n come back with no connections issues unless the microwave is on and I'm near it. The only con that I'm sorta worried about is the link where the ear pieces are attached to the headset. I broke mine on my wired pair and worried I may do so on my 930's. but I bought the extended warranty and find it worth it.

Most annoying thing I have ever purchased

PBXX, reviews.logitech.com
21 February 2014
  • Summary: I've had this headset for about 4 months now and I can tell you, I have been tempted to throw it at the wall hundreds of times, and have twice. Sole reason, it disconnects at LEAST once every 5 minutes, on a good day! This is HEAVILY annoying during Skype calls, you will be in a conversation and likely be cut off mid-sentence for about 5-8 seconds. As a matter of fact, It disconnected 2 times while writing this!
