Great Headset ~--~ If it lasted more than 3 months
16 November 2013
Summary: I've owned 3 of these since 2010 Pros: They had great audio for games and pretty good battery life since I wasn't charging it every time it was slightly low. The headset works well for music and games, you can really hear the instruments/effects and bass. Also since it is wireless, you can leave your PC and go use the restroom, get a drink, make food, etc all while continuing a conversation or listening to music.
Summary: The sound on these is incredibly good - When the headset isn't attempting to reconnect... and it is always, always trying to reconnect and cuts out - even when plugged in. This headset is one of several headsets I have had from Logitech that I have loved until they became worn out. But the thing is- those other headsets wore out after being used every day. (I use them for everything, all day long and for grueling conference calls.
Summary: I have my first pair for 1.5 years before it developed any issues. At first the sound was amazing and the wireless range was superb. I was able to walk up and down stairs and even go in the front yard and out to the garage all while listening to music or doing multiple daily conference calls. The people on the other end of the VoIP call could hear me perfectly. Also, the virtual surround in games and the bass responsiveness was top-notch.
Summary: The hardware is great but the software drivers are complete garbage. Read Logitech's own support forums on this product and the valid ravings form existing owners. The poorly written drivers cause this headset to not function in almost all cases. Without working drivers this is just a paperweight. This has been an ongoing problem for at least 2 years now and there still isn't a fix.
Summary: I purchased this headset about one week ago and I have never been as disappointed in a product as I am with these. The headset cuts out/drops out all the time and I mean all the time. I would be lucky to get five minutes of listening before the audio cuts out. This headsets cannot be used to listen to music or make a Skype calls or in fact anything that involves needing to listen. Do not spend any amount amount of money to purchase this load of rubbish.
Summary: These headphones will be worth the money when the price is equivalent to $0.00. Even then, having them within your house hold holds certain risks to all other technology nearby. I have never been this disappointed with a piece of hardware before. Low connectivity, crackling sounds, sound drops, random power offs then ons, volume gets low, software force closes, and many other minor problems. I have tried everything, even changing frequency settings on the router.
Excerpt: The sound quality is better than any headset I have ever listened to, including wired headsets. The user will be totally immersed once the headset is put on. The plush ear cups block out almost all extraneous noise. The 7.1 is good, but not perfect. However, what can you expect from only 2 speakers? Flipping on the Dobly 7.1, using the switch on the left ear cup, brings a whole new level to the game.
Summary: In an area such as an apartment complex or dorm, you'll have quite a bit of wireless traffic. This causes a lot of interference with the headset and so audio will cut out or crackle. I suggest only buying this if you live in an area without heavy wireless traffic, such as a single family home or townhouse. The software provided does not allow you to change the wireless channel, so you are stuck on that channel and it will get interference.
