Summary: I bought 3 of these headphones so far. They all broke on the exact same place. Right under the "G35" Label on either the left or right side. If you like to play games after taking a shower and wear these with wet hair, the over the ear pads will peel off rather quickly. Otherwise it will peel off after a few months. I love this headset, specially since the voice-activation for Ventrilo or Teamspeak is amazing. I don't have to use Push to Talk.
Pros: Amazing Sound 7.1 Surround Sound Durable Cable Amazing Mic with Noise Cancellation Semi-Customize-able G-Keys and Flip to Mute Mic Really comfortable for 12+ Hours of gaming
Cons: Ear Cups will peel off after a few weeks Can feel heavy until you get used to it. Afterwards you wont even feel them on. Breaks / Snaps off right under the red "G-35 Label" after about a year of super careful use.
Pros: Great sound. Precise bass that isn't overbearing. All the buttons you could hope for. Useful, easily programmed G-Keys. The build quality is superb. Microphone flip-up mute is very convenient. It comes in at a very nice price considering what you get out of it. I've owned and heavily used this for six years now. It has survived travel, packing, unpacking, getting thrown accidentally, etc. Playing an FPS with these on has always seemed a little bit unfair to all the ot...
Cons: --The ear pads have developed mange. after about four years they started to lose their nice plastic/leather-ish coating in flakes, bits, and pieces. The material underneath is actually rather comfortable in my opinion and very sturdy, but this is an undeniable thing that WILL happen if you purchase these. I've seen it three times, on three separate sets. (I only own one set.) --Within the last year they have started to make a small buzzing noise from the right-side sp...
Pros: Extremely comfortable, great sound, ful 7.1 experience. Software works pretty well too as all of the G series works with the same program. I use these just about every day and they still work 100% as the day i bought them.
Cons: The leather will eventually rip off and the installation process is kind of silly as you have to unplug them when you install them.
Summary: I have had these headphones for going on 6 years now. I have never been happier with a set of headphones. The external noise dampening and great faux surround sound along with just great quality sound makes games and movies more enjoyable, allowing me to get away into my own space. The noise cancellation on the microphone has worked excellent for making demo videos and helps to make skype calls and voice chat much more clean and hassle free.
Pros: Great functionality. Excellent sound. Great noise reduction on microphone, Great external noise dampening, convenient plug and play use, Long cord. Having the volume on the left ear piece means I never have to search the cable for the little controller box in the middle of a high intensity game moment. The flip up microphone function of muting is excellent for on the fly control. They are really comfortable and very adjustable to fit many head shapes and sizes. Best o...
Cons: After about three/four years the cord, around the connection point to the headphones became permanently twisted and began to wear badly. (fixed this by stabilizing the area with a plastic splint and some duct tape before the damage became unrepairable) The swivels on the earpieces have been known to snap off if handled roughly or dropped at just the wrong angle. ( I did not have this issue but I have tried to be careful with them and handle them from the headband, I'v...
Summary: Updating my old review since something finally note-worthy has happened. For the longest time the headset worked perfectly as intended, no flaws (While being aware and gentle when handling it). - When going off to BMT all my stuffz was put into storage, when I got the headset back (3 months later) the cable near the base of the ear cup was protruding out of the braiding, I could see all the squishy rubber hanging out in a pinch.
Pros: - Surround sound - Durable cord - Good mic, never had anyone complain; heard myself in an echo a few times and I sounded clear - Programmable buttons - Convenient mute - Comfortable settings for a good fit, bonus pillows with different thickness for your own liking - Velcro strap to tie extra cable
Cons: - Not the most durable ear cups; although the swivel helps to conform to your head & ears there is the issue where excessive handling from the ear cups could lead it to snap off, by the feel of it. I would advise only picking it up via the headband or one hand on each cup.
Summary: Well worth every penny! Best headset I've ever bought. Sound quality is perfect for gaming and the mic is pretty good. I really like the way you mute the mic you just swivel it up away from your face. Feels great on your head and I love the wireless feature.
Summary: Every other headset I've owned didn't live through the abuse I give to them by lanning, random drops, and huge amounts of use. I know some people complain about the durability of the G35 but the metal bar inside of the top head strap really adds to the reliability of its durability. Seriously this thing should have broken a long time ago and it didn't.
Pros: -Has lasted me 4 years now. -It's inexpensive. -I use this specifically for gaming and I can hear more then most of my friends. I can hear more footsteps in CSGO and CSS with this cheaply priced headset when my friends are using expensive alternatives. -Comfortable for long gaming sessions. -Mic quality is great and designed fantastically. You can flip it up to mute the microphone and then flip it back down to turn it back on. It's come in absolute clutch while eating...
Cons: -The synth leather on the ear cups and head strap wore off in about 1.5 years. I had to replace all of the cushions. -I don't really use the surround sound. I find this surround sound system to confuse you. You think something is in front of you and it ends up being behind you. Stereo works much better for gaming and is more accurate. You still know which direction someone is coming from in stereo (game sense?).
Summary: Love the headset. Love Logitech, great customer support. Stylish product.
Pros: Great sound with fantastic surround fidelity. Love the comfort and the way it blocks out sound. The software is great and easy to use. Don't know about other reviews saying its fragile, I've dropped this headset so many times, not a scratch. I've always loved Logitech products for their durability.
