Summary: i received it and the ear piece were torn to shreds. i really needed it for my business so i dealt with it and less than a month the left side snapped off. right were it turns. in my opinion if a headset breaks within a month there was a flaw with the plastic. i did nothing to break it. and all the company could say was were sorry but its not our fault. although it does have great sound.
Excerpt: In-use, the sound and microphone quality are fine, and the surround sound makes a great difference in gaming. However, my G35 began deteriorating almost immediately until the point of breaking completely. The microphone became loose after the first week, meaning I could not stick it up and out of the way while not in use as it would simply flop back down immediately.
Excerpt: there is a plastic pivot point that breaks easily on both sides of the headset. My first headset broke on the left side, with microphone and G buttons, at the pivot point while removing it from my head. I lifted it off my ear and it snapped. I was upset but purchased another one since I had the first one for more that a year of daily use. The second one broke on the right side at the pivot point after dropping it because the cord got caught around my chair arm.
Excerpt: These headphones have a little plastic tube with a wire running thru the middle of it holding big heavey ear pieces on. This little tube has broke three times on me in the last year and a half (3rd was last night). I dont know how to be more careful with these things, they just eventually break. Logitech has been great with replacing them the first two times, we will see on the 3rd, but at this point i wish they would send me something else.
Excerpt: There is a few issues with the current driver software and it crashing a few games as well as just being picky with its compatibility. Comfortable and fits well. Good for an hour or two of ware. It can REALLY use a new driver update.
Excerpt: This headset might appear sturdy, but it isn't. The plastic connector between the earpiece and the frame is no more than a half centimeter in diameter and seems actually 'designed' to break at that spot. The left side of mine snapped when it slipped from barely a foot off the ground onto a carpeted floor.
Summary: Look at the specks and you will find that there are only one 40mm speaker in each side of the head phone. How does that add up to 7 descrete speakers and a sub woffer like my home surround system???
