Nice headset but just keeps breaking

Stanley V., Newegg
11 November 2014
  • Pros: The sound is very good. The mic works fine.
  • Cons: The right side of the set keeps breaking on its weakest connection. This is a design failure. I have the G35 now for 4 months and love it but can trash it since it became unusable. This is my 2nd G35 and also broke down within 6 months. My suggestion is to stay away until Logitech fixes this prob...

Look elsewhere!

Anonymous, Newegg
29 October 2014
  • Summary: Overall, if you do end up buying these, make sure you get an extended warranty and start saving up something better for when these do inevitably break. I've always used Logitech peripherals, but after having to go through the same issue over and over, I'll be looking elsewhere.
  • Pros: The audio quality is fantastic for these headphones and the programmable buttons on the side make it easy to control a media player while gaming. Plus, the 2 year warranty is amazing, as you will probably end up having to use it.
  • Cons: Hands down, these are the cheapest headphones I've ever owned. The build quality is HORRIBLE. I've gone through 4 of these and every time, the right side has snapped off. It is extremely weak at the pivot point. Thankfully, I'm not the only one having these issues, but Logitech has done nothing t...

Designed to disintegrate

Anonymous, Newegg
6 October 2014
  • Summary: I guess this is why the newer headsets use cloth, because the old design suffers from molecular disintegration.
  • Pros: Plug and play with no driver install interaction.
  • Cons: After one year the earphone pads turn to black flecks and crumble everywhere. The plastic support pieces that swivel develop cracks in them.

Breaks after 1 year

David T., Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Pros: Good sound, comfortable, nice mic, and good voice changer.
  • Cons: After 1 year of usage the headset will break on the ear piece. I bought this product 2 times and after both times 1 year later it would break. If you buy this make sure you're ready to re buy every year.

Annoying Quirks

Robert C., Newegg
5 August 2014
  • Summary: The headset has a really nice build quality, however the real problem I have is with the drivers. I will admit that these are my first USB headset so I can't speak for other USB headsets, but I don't think I will buy anymore...
  • Pros: Surround sound works nicely Good noise cancellation
  • Cons: Random popping noises Faint hissing noises No stereo-mix (You have to use their drivers which don't include it)

Awful Cheaply Built Headset

Michael W., Newegg
29 June 2014
  • Pros: Sound quality is great. Mic is clear.
  • Cons: The little flimsy pins in the swivel part of headset break way too easily. This is a all too common flaw. Google G35 broken headset and you will see that it is super common. Major design flaw. Save your money and buy something with better quality materials.

Good sound, shoddy design, terrible support

Donald L., Newegg
24 June 2014
  • Summary: Prior to the near simultaneous self-destruction of my circle's G35s and G930, my friends and I have made it a habit to buy Logitech. A lot of their other gear is nice and well built. And I can forgive a company for one poorly made product, even at this price.
  • Pros: For the lifetime it lived, it sounded fairly good.
  • Cons: Never have I experienced such poor, cheap design on a headset, and I've owned a cheap pair of Turtle Beaches. This headset, along with the Logitech G930, are notoriously terrible for their propensity to break at the connector from the earcups to where it sits on the head. Mine started showing cra...

Warranty hassles

Gina L., Newegg
30 April 2014
  • Pros: Good mic.
  • Cons: The speakers of the set stopped working but the mic was fine. Called Logitech - due to no receipt since it was a gift, they had me take photos to prove I had the set AFTER we went through tests to see what was wrong. They wanted to send me a new set. That's when things got weird. I kept getting a...

Sound Great BUT...

James S., Newegg
13 April 2014
  • Summary: I did not order from Newegg as I found them on sale at less than here so I went with the cheaper store. That makes no difference on the quality issue though, as it is Logitech not the place purchased.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Sound is excellent, Mic is clear, some cool features, blocks out sound from external sources better than my old set...
  • Cons: The breaking issue others have had. I am currently on my 3rd set since December (April now). I was super cautious with the second set after a RMA of the first and they still began showing cracking on the part where the headphones attach to the headband. Not an issue from the store but an issue fr...
