Summary: I purchased this headset because I was on a budget at the time. The overall price was appealing, and it has served me well in the meantime. But I have some money now, and I will be purchasing a true high quality headset. I would only recommend this if you cannot afford anything more.
Pros: Great speakers Works well with HD audio devices Strong bass Clear speaker voice Long cord Low price
Cons: Speaker noise pollution: people nearby will hear Poor quality mic: be prepared to use advanced audio software to clear up background noise and increase the sound of your voice recordings to an acceptable level
Summary: You get what you pay for, You paid for that "gaming headset," look for something else not gaming in this price range.
Pros: Got if for $38 elswhere, so pretty cheap. Sounds fine, the bass was absolutely muddy. Now that I have a Premium FX Motherboard, I should have tried it again with onboard sound. replaced it with a better HyperX cloud headphone. Nice long cord.
Cons: Not comfortable, the sports cloth just scratches around your ears but it doesn't touch them fortunately. The Mic is bad, however I did have a single brief moment of utter clarity which I could never reproduce again. This may mean something to some of you.
Summary: Long story short, if you're looking for a cheap headset this isn't a bad way to go. Comfortable and the sound quality is decent for what you're spending. Would not recommend it if you will be using the mic though.
Pros: It's pretty inexpensive which is definitely what drew me to buy it. The sound quality really isn't bad for the money you're spending, it's not great but it's definitely not terrible either.
Cons: The mic on the other hand is pretty awful. Your voice will be very quiet and drowned out in the sea of white noise the mic puts out. There is no ambient noise in the environment in which I use it, but in every recording I've done with it there is a massive amount of static much louder than my voi...
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable and decent sounding for the price. I've been able to wear these for hours at a time without sore ears. I was able to score these for just under $30, which gives me NO room to complain. At $50, they are passable for most uses.
Cons: Sounds like a $50 headset, bass response not awesome, highs aren't super clear. However, I knew this would be the case going into this purchase.
Summary: I would have preferred volume controls on the headset, like the G930, instead of the in-line control. But for the price, you can't expect too much.
Pros: - Good sound quality - Nice design and looks
Cons: - The mic is horrible! It barely picks up any noise and people have a hard time hearing what I say. In order to "alleviate" the problem I had to increase the microphone boost by 36dB, which is the max I could increase it by, but increasing the boost also increases the amount of static noise. So g...
Summary: I am very hesitant to purchase again because of the lack of repairabilty and delicate nature. Bottom line if you are very careful with it, it is a decent headset when on sale. If accidents with the headset are your concern, get something cheaper/more resilient.
Pros: G230 looks sharp, decent sound, and long cord length are all pluses.
Cons: Headset is a bit on the tight side, to remedy place the headset on your PC tower like you would on your head, after a while it'll loosen up and not pinch as bad. Be VERY careful with the cord, it is very easy to get caught or tripped on because of its length. Also the cord is non-replaceable, mak...
Summary: A decent gaming headset...it works for its intended purpose but there are better options in the price range. 1. The sound quality is good - not amazing. I mean sure, it is an analog/stereo headset, what can I expect? A little better IMO...thats what. 2.
