Not terrible, but not great

Kevin W., Newegg
10 February 2011
  • Summary: Not a bad headset, but it isn't great either. I've been told that the USB interface isn't the best for a microphone, but there are other USB headsets available that do just fine. I think I'm going to buy a cheap 3.5mm headset just to compare.
  • Pros: It's pretty comfortable, and the padded top band is nice. The mic (when down) is in the perfect location in relation to your mouth, and I like the mute button on the side of the headset. Sound quality is pretty decent as well.
  • Cons: Everyone I've talked to with this headset say that they hear some hissing, or "white noise" when I speak. I've tried this headset on Win XP, Win 7 and Ubuntu and it's the same result every time. Not too pleased about that. No amount of mic adjustments have rectified it, either.

Worked for a Week, Mic Broke

Theresa B., Newegg
19 December 2010
  • Summary: Seems to be cheap construction inside these things for everything to just suddenly stop working.
  • Pros: While it worked this headset sounded good and everyone in vent said I sounded clear.
  • Cons: Volume controls and mute button on headset stopped working after just a few days, but at least the headset still worked. Mic stopped working after a week, so now it is useless.

very cheaply made, very disappointed

Brendon B., Newegg
17 August 2010
  • Summary: I'm very disappointed with my purchase, I will never buy another Logitech headset ever again. You would expect more from a very "good" company like Logitech, unfortunately they left me very disappointed with a product that doesn't even last 24 hours.
  • Pros: Clear headphone quality and the crystal clear mic while it lasted
  • Cons: This thing feels cheap and the mic stopped working after just 1 day of owning it

Mic has a shelflife of around 3 months

Donna S., Newegg
2 August 2010
  • Summary: While I've had to get two replacements from Logitech due to a dead mic, I would recommend the product solely for their wonderful customer service, no hassle replacement policy.
  • Pros: Very comfortable, I forget I'm wearing them sometimes during long marathon gaming sessions. Great Logitech customer service comes with them.
  • Cons: I've had the mic on two of these go bad so far, the mute light on the boom stops coming and the mic stops working.

Good while it lasted

Wayne S., Newegg
1 August 2010
  • Summary: I'm really disappointed in Logitech. This is probably going to be the last Logitech headset I'll ever own. Logitech headsets consistently fail months after purchase.
  • Pros: - good visual appeal - volume and mic mute located on actual headphone - long cable - no configuration necessary
  • Cons: - randomly stopped working after 6 months of absolutely issue-free use. The USB board is really cheap. I'm waiting to see if Logitech will at least give me a refurb.

Landon D., Newegg
18 July 2010
  • Summary: I like not having the controls on the cord. In the past I had some trouble with those types snagging. This is my second purchase of this model. First one I wore out with heavy use.
  • Pros: Snug fit and good sound. Never would buy a lesser headset from Logitech. This was worth the extra money.
  • Cons: Carefull with the cord. It can get stuck on chair wheels etc.

Good Headset... While it Worked.

Anonymous, Newegg
12 June 2010
  • Summary: I've owned Logitech products for the past 3-4 years. None of their products have seem to fail me yet, except for this Headset. Allthough it did break, this was an excellent headset for the price. I currently upgraded to the Wireless version and I'm not that happy with the result.
  • Pros: -Great quality. Clear crisp sound/mic. -Long cord. -Ability to change volume/mute mic via the buttons directly on the headset.
  • Cons: -The USB plug is too big. Using this headset on my laptop, which I traveled allot with, resulted in breaking the long USB plug.

Wouldnt Purchase a second time.

Austin S., Newegg
7 June 2010
  • Summary: Do your self a favor, spend the extra 10 bucks and upgrade.
  • Pros: It works.
  • Cons: This headset worked perfectly for about 3 months before really loosing its quality. After the 3 months, it began picking up background noise, creating static whenever I use the microphone, and just not translating clearly. The volume control also stopped working after about 5 months of use.

Logitech CLearchat Pro

Anonymous, Newegg
2 June 2010
  • Summary: if a company decides to brand something, make sure it works, ill be calling new egg to get the one i KNOW works
  • Pros: for the driver size sounds great, till you get into a raid, spare me with the mute issues, the mute is NOT on, this was a replacement in good faith for a rose will headset that just died, and rose will would not warranty
  • Cons: you cant hear yourself at all on raids, so you get yelled at to stop yelling, i suspect it has to do with the multichannel speaker rig i have, and that too is logitech
