Excellent buy ... excellent price.

Summary: Despite some of the reviews, these headphones are excellent ... and what a price! Used them on a trip to Italy a couple of weeks back and what a delight. Even without music playing, just turning the headphones on stops the annoying hum of the jet engines. The sound quality is extremely good. Found them to be very comfortable.
Summary: A must for Airline travel! This is my second set of noise cancelling headphones and are my favourite so far! Very comfortable delivering crystal clear background noise cancelling sound. Headphones have ability to fold upon themselves to fit into a tight compact setting. While perhaps not quite as good as Top end Noise cancelling, the difference you lose in so insignificant and at a fraction of the price! Really done my research on these and was not disappointed.
Summary: Bought these headphones to use on twice a year air flights.Arrived on date stated. On trying them after set-up,the sound sounded a bit echo y ,and right speaker seemed intermittent.Tried fiddling with cable. No improvement. Then decided to try reversing cable around.Bingo, sound OK now.Why turning cable around should make any difference I don't know.Anyway they are a comfy fit. Will have to wait till my next flight in September to see if noise cancelling is any good.Good buy...
Summary: Effectively cancel out the angry typing in the university library which is what I bought them for a bit better than a pair of Sony ones I borrowed before buying. Can't give them 4 stars because they can be quite uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Summary: I work in noisy open space office as a programmer, and these headphones are able to dampen the constant hum of the air conditioning. Voices of my coworkers are much quieter, but clear in absence of this hum and understandable. I can't give five stars, because active noise cancelling system often induces and produces very low frequency growling noise.
Excellent noise cancelling and comfortable enough to wear trans-atlantic

Summary: I wore my headphones for the entirety of both legs of my trans-atlantic flight and found them very comfortable and the noise cancelling was very good- indeed much better than the JVCs they replaced. The volume is easily controllable and batteries are replaced very simply. They fold up fairly small and come with a draw-string carry bag. Given that my previous phones broke when I sat on and broke the plug returning to my airline seat these have a double bonus for me.
Summary: I purchased these in a rush prior to a long haul flight to Hong Kong. The noise cancelling for constant hums/drones such as an aircraft engine or train is very effective. In both these situations I tended to stay quite still, excessive movement can case the audio to skip/cut out briefly but for what i use these for this isn't a big problem. The bass is quite heavy and seems to become more so with noise cancelling on, but this was acceptable for what I use them for.
Summary: I had enough with my dr.dre beats in-ear phones so i wanted to replace it with overhead phone at decent price. I searched for few products and found this. must say excellent bargain for this price. Word of warning - do not expect to receive bose/sony/jvc etc' sound cancelling experience but do expect to have most of the noises to be cancelled. I do recommend it to people with low budget ( I am a student).
Summary: I bought these as where I work is painfully noisy. They arrived, I took 'em out of the box, put the battery in, and without even plugging them into the player put them on. Instantly I flipped on the Noise Cancelling I could tell a marked difference in background noise. I showed my colleagues who were equally impressed - including one who'd recently bought a £300 pair of NC headphones and reckon these are better ( and was suitably gutted ).
