Excerpt: Bought these purely for listening to videos/music on my tablet whilst travelling, particularly by air. Work a treat - now I can hear what is being said over the sound of the jet engines, in fact can't hear the jet engines.

Surprisingly effective noise-cancelling effect which is subtle, and works more noticeably for lower frequencies, traffic noise, droning noises (air con etc).

Summary: Work well - good (but not amazing) noise cancelling. Comfortable for about 6 hours, then start to hurt a little so you can't wear them for a whole flight, but that may just be the shape of my ears!
Summary: Despite some of the reviews, these headphones are excellent ... and what a price! Used them on a trip to Italy a couple of weeks back and what a delight. Even without music playing, just turning the headphones on stops the annoying hum of the jet engines. The sound quality is extremely good.
Summary: Bought these headphones to use on twice a year air flights.Arrived on date stated.On trying them after set-up,the sound sounded a bit echo y ,and right speaker seemed intermittent.Tried fiddling with cable.No improvement.Then decided to try reversing cable around.Bingo,sound OK now.Why turning cable...
