Excerpt: The Labtec® 242 is an affordable, yet extremely effective headset. My Experience For computer novices like myself it's easy to use, lightweight (but not flimsy), comfortable and efficient. Buying (inexpensive) headsets is a tricky business; many are delicate and frail, susceptible to background noise or cramped and uncomfortable. Not this one - not in my experience, at least.
Pros: Good value for money, effective, good sound quality, comfortable
Cons: Perhaps somewhat flimsy; but nothing much to report
Excerpt: I purchased these a couple of weeks ago and am happy with them they do the job well although they are slightly too big even on the smallest adjustment...but all in all for the price excellent value for money will be buying again for my boys...
Excerpt: Im sure this is a fine headset, but... if you searched for `PS3 headset` and you were presented with this headset, DONT BUY IT! Theres nothing here saying what connector it has so I relied on the fact that it matched `PS3 headset`. Bad idea. Its got 3.5mm jacks. No good for your console. PC Arena still havent compensated me either.
Excerpt: I bought this headset for someone else so when we chat, Im able to hear the sound quality it produces - for under a tenner its much better than I was expecting but of course if you spend more you get even better quality (such as one of the officially billed Skype headsets, the larger of them made by Plantronics).
Excerpt: My boyfriend and I bought one set of these each to use with Skype. The reviews sounded so good for Skype users and it was a good price so we thought they would be fine. But weve found that we have to hold the microphone against our mouths to make ourselves heard (which takes away the whole point of having a headset) and we cant use the headphones for the audio because then the microphone isnt close enough to our mouths!
Excerpt: Well not much to say except it does exactly what it says on the tin - its a perfectly serviceable headset - sound quality on Skype is fine (this is all I intend to use it for). Only reason why I gave it 4 stars not 5 is because Ive been told my voice goes a bit blippy occasionally, but thats from talking to a friend in India so could well have been the connection...
Excerpt: Very comfortable item. i had never used a headset before; i was satisfied with the microphone of my laptop. But i found out that even an amateur like me could use the headset and improve the performance of a live conversation. It works perfectly with skype, windows live messenger, as well as with calls to landlines and mobiles via the internet.
