Excerpt: I am in the music business and have used a number of headphones when playing multi-track recordings. I listen carefully for defects in the tracks then redo or apply fixes when necessary. These headphones have the clarity with an acceptable balance between upper and lower registers that allow me to produce a higher quality recording.
Pros: Comfortable, Good Value, Great Sound, Quality sound
Summary: I bought these headphones on a few recommendations and the fact that I could get them for 30% off. They sound as I expected them to sound. Koss headphones usually have great sound. I wasn't expecting too much, since these were priced in the lower range. My only complaint is that the headband fits awkwardly. The plastic is really stiff and doesn't hug the top of your head like most full sized headphones do.
Summary: We use these headphones in the computer labs at my school district. (so my experience is based on over 200 of these headphones) They hold up very well to the day to day use (and sometimes, abuse) that elementary age children throw at them. The sound quality is good for the children - so good that sometimes I can hear it across the lab and have to go turn it down for them. :-) I've used them myself and for 50 dollar headphones, they are quite acceptable.
Summary: They are definitely worth the price that they cost. They aren't DJ quality, but hey these are pretty close. When I practice my vocal parts (Metal singer) for my band these are what I wear. I am going to try to replace the current damaged pads with some sound cancelling ones but if it doesn't work then I will buy myself a new pair.
Pros: I have had these since November of 2010 These are amazing. I wear them all the time especially at school. I find them comfortable, and the sound Quality is fantastic. The Cord is a nicely coiled and the fact that it can stretch is helpful. I love these so much.
Cons: They weren't heavy to me like other customers complain but they were tight at first However they loosened up. They don't have the best sound cancelling, I know they weren't meant to sound cancel but it was a nice thought. They do cancel out some noise. Also due to my excessive wearing, which was about maybe like 4 hours everyday, The synthetic covers got torn off so only the soft porous padding was left. This made it so you couldn't hear a single thing if you were in ...
Summary: Wore them for about 4 hours playing Portal 2.
Pros: Seem to be very sturdy. Good sound quality. Strong cord.
Cons: The ear pieces are too small for my ears, the headband is very stiff and has no padding despite it being huge and looking like it is padded in the pictures. Probably the least comfortable headphones I've ever owned, but still wearable.
Summary: If you're getting these for JUST listening, GREAT GET THEM! But if you're going to be recording or DJ'ing where you need to have one ear listening to headphones and one ear listening to a monitor, you might want to select a collapsable pair.
Pros: Great construction. Excellent sound. Does not hurt my head or ears. Comes with 1/4" stereo adapter. Muffles outside sound great and cannot be heard by others in the room. Wonderful wonderful wonderful
Cons: design... They do not collapse like you'd think they would. You cannot choose to listen to only 1 earpiece without bending the head band unit.
