Pros: I'm starting to accumulate a fairly large collection of headphones and headsets because I can't seem to pass up a good buy. I purchased these as a possible substitute for my Creative CALs (which are a great set of cans by the way considering the price). The few tech reviews I found of the Klipsch STATUS all read pretty favorable and I figured that the price was right. I use these mostly for gaming, but do listen to some music and do a little movie watching. Constructi...
Pros: They sound amazing, ear shaking bass response without mudding up the higher frequencies. likely the best sounding headphones I have heard which is a shame considering the major con.
Cons: they are so incredibly small that I came back here to make sure I did not order a childs size on accident. they have so much clamping force on your ears that it is painful after listening for awhile. they hold on my 3 year olds head fine without falling off. For this reason alone I am returning them, I would LOVE these if they were larger.
Excerpt: I listen to these for a couple hours a day on average and they are great! I have a portable headphone amp too that I use with them, but even without that they sound fantastic. Fantastic bass response and very clear mids and highs without being in your face. Turn it up and these remain distortion free. The sound stage isn't quite as up front as the likes of the Yamaha Pro500's, but the clarity is darn near as good, and those are much more expensive headphones!
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Stylish
Pros: THe construction is rock solid. Purchase this if you need a really rugged pair of headphones. cord is fantastic, fabric mesh. no tangle and sturdy
Cons: the money went into quality construction and not into sound. the sound is decent but my 80 buck bose sound, or 120 buck grado SR80 sound way better. but they are NO where near as sturdy. Fit is less comfortable because of weight and sturdiness of materials
Pros: Sound is great, they are comfortable, the wire and pads have a top quality feel to them that you would expect from top shelf headphones. I got them at $99
Cons: The right plastic pin at the joint that fold the headphone failed on me after a couple weeks of light use. I have to emphasize the word "light;" it was nothing more than use sitting at my computer. I didn't drop them, heck I didn't even walk around with them. It just snapped as I was putting the headphones on one day. Now it is hanging loosely, but still usable. I would not wear these headphones outside or keep them in a bag I have contacted Klipsch for a possible war...
Summary: These are the best sounding earphones that I have owned. I was amazed at the way they performed. My music has never sounded better. Well balanced sound highs, mids, and bass. Clear all the way through the spectrum. I bought them on sale for less than $100.
Pros: Great sound, cool looking, cloth covered replaceable cord. The sound isolation is very good. These are built to last a long time.
Cons: A little on the heavy side, and tight on the head. I wouldn't use them during exercising where you are bouncing around.
Excerpt: I've had Klipsch products since 1980; this is supremely superior to most headphones on the market both in quality construction and sound. Even at full list price it would be good value, but with discounts it is outstanding. Klipsch used high quality leather, steel, and professional-grade HiFi woven cables (two types) rather than the cheap plastic cables on other brands. I didn't have to adjust my iTunes EQ for great sound as I did with my Bose.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Excellent price, Great Sound, Quality Materials, Stylish
