Sounds Clean but not worth this price

rch316, Amazon
18 April 2014
  • Summary: Very nice portable MP3 dock but for the money I would expect louder sound. Very clean highs and decent bass. Comparison to Dre Beats Dock: I played both of them side by side and here is what I found. The KMC has cleaner sound. Dre dock is a bit louder but gets more distorted at high volume. If you are looking for quality I would say go with the KMC I am still waiting for the right dock to come out that is loud enough. Nothing yet!

Klipsch Flexes It's Musical Prowess With The KMC-3

Matt B, Amazon

  • Summary: I stumbled upon the KMC-3 sort of by mistake, but boy I'm sure glad I did. I was at my local brick and mortar electronics store to purchase a wireless mouse when I decided to stop by the wireless speaker section to see whats new, since the category is constantly flooded with new brands and models. To my surprise I saw the KMC-3 made by Klipsch. A brand I know very well, but not aware they had recently jumped into the wireless speaker market too.

Excellent audio quality - power supply kind of dated

Andy G. "Andy G.", Amazon
26 February 2014
  • Summary: After a lot of shopping, testing, reading reviews, and listening I went with the KMC 3 (white version). It sounds awesome. It also looks good. I noticed that if I place it near a wall or near a corner the sound is fuller, going from awesome to super awesome :-). I picked up this hint from audiophiles. My only suggestion to Klipsch is to update the power supply, which feels so 1990's.

KMC 3

Michael F., Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: I love all my Klipsch speakers. Always great quality speakers and this is no exception. For its size it is very loud and powerful. Sounds are nice and crisp even at high levels. I was shocked at the bass this can throw out. I'm still torn on if I prefer the D cell batteries vs a rechargeable pack. I bought some 8 pcs of Premium Tenergy D Size 10,000mAh High Capacity High Rate NiMH Rechargeable Batteries and them seem to last quite awhile in this. Makes the speaker heavy.

Just what I was looking for. Sound is GREAT!

Mrs.DD, Crutchfield
21 December 2013
  • Summary: I searched and searched for the right "dock" to listen to Pandora on my Android. I wanted top notch sound and not too big of a speaker. Big enough to support great sound, but small enough to be able to carry and move to different parts of the house. Since most docks are tailored for iPhones, the Crutchfield team strongly recommended the Klipsch® Music Center KMC 3.
  • Pros: Great, overall sound. Size is like a small boom box.
  • Cons: Wish I could control the bass. Sometimes I don't need as much. But well balanced sound overall. Rated a 4 because of this.

Klipsch KMC3

Josh, Crutchfield
26 July 2013
  • Summary: Great, deep, rich sounding bluetooth boom box. I listened to every other comparable device around this price range at the Crutchfield store and none compared to the fullness of sound delivered by the Klipsch. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it uses 8D batteries. A battery pack that recharges when your plug it in should be standard at this point.
  • Pros: Deeper bass and better sound than any other portable bluetooth boom box out there.
  • Cons: Requires 8D batteries to go completely wireless.

Great for deck parties

Mayor90, Crutchfield
20 July 2013
  • Summary: Puts out amazingly loud, smooth, clear sound. Haven't had a chance to try it with the batteries yet, but Klipsch never disappoints with their products. Only complaint I would have is the fact that they didn't opt for a rechargeable lithium battery pack for this, which is why I gave it 4*. Connectivity has been no issue for any of the devices I've tried, and everything operates very smoothly.
