Two busted pairs

Ry M., Newegg
5 November 2013
  • Pros: Great sound, got them on sale for under 40
  • Cons: This is the second pair that has crapped out. Just sitting at the library, and I get shocked in the ear and then nothing but white noise. This is unacceptable from a company like Klipsch, and for headphones that regularly sell for 75$. Will be contacting customer support AGAIN, since they have a ...

Not worth $70

Duc P., Newegg
10 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this pair when they were on sale. Sound quality is decent, noise cancellation is so-so, you have to use the biggest buds and fit them very very snug. On Android devices the mic and the remote don't work, only the play/pause button is functional, but on iPhone they work great, as advertised...
  • Pros: Decent sound, controls i-products.
  • Cons: Extremly fragile

Disappointing

Anonymous, Newegg
20 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought these because of the Klipsch brand but this falls far from the mark. I prefer listening to standard Apple iPod headphones than these. I previously owned Shure SE215s, which cost nearly 2x as much, but I think much better value for the money than these headphones.
  • Pros: - Bought at a heavy discount (nearly 50% off). - Sound isolation is quite good with low microphonics (sthethoscope-like cable noise).
  • Cons: - Sound quality is, frankly, terrible. It sounds muddy and lacks clarity. - Bass is overwhelming, but again, it just sounds muddy.

Dies insanely fast.

29 April 2013
  • Summary: To elaborate I first had a gaming version of the s4i, klipsch was out of stock with those and sent me the s4i. So 1 gaming headphones have died and 2 s4i.
  • Pros: Great sound for the price. Absolutely incredible sound. Fits very nicely in my ears.
  • Cons: My first pair was a s4 (without mic) and its been 2-3 years and still running great. But when I got the s4i it broke within a week. One ear died. I contacted klipsch and they replaced it. When i got the new pair around a week later one ear died again. I Had them replaced again, and the same dam t...

Maintains the Klipsch Standard

Shane T., Newegg
27 April 2013
  • Summary: I paid slightly less than half of MSRP and I whole heartedly believe I got a steal. I believe the MSRP is a bit high for what you get. I consistantly read reviews that say "for what they are they are a good value" or "for the price they are a good deal.
  • Pros: These ear buds are crystal clear. They do not have the muffled sound that factory ear buds have. I have tried, and I mean really tried get these things to clip, but no luck. I did manage to make my ears ring. The noise reduction works better than expected. I work in an office and at 50% volume I ...
  • Cons: Cable - It seems like regardless of what I purchase from Klipsch, the cable is a pain. It tangles way too easy. It loves to roll on itself. The legth is great, except for when I have a tangled mess in the middle. Fit - These buds fit better than any other ear bud I have ever owned, and these are ...

Klipsch Fan

Drexel D., Newegg
26 March 2013
  • Summary: Hoped volume control would work on Android - IT DOESN'T. An old set of Sennheisers do.. Great price point if you get them on sale like I did. Even at the current price you shouldn't be disappointed. Save your money and get the S4 if you don't have an iphone.
  • Pros: I've owned several Klipsch sound systems for home stereo, computer, and headphones. Like Bose, they have their own signature sound. These replaced an older set that didn't survive the wash. They have good bass without distortion and tight mid and highs. I also own the original Ultimate Ears (befo...
  • Cons: None really. The cable is a little thin but my last set lasted years at the gym without problem.

Sound good. Design bad.

TJ C., Newegg
27 February 2013
  • Pros: Audio quality - excellent. Really no complaints in this department. Mic - incredibly sensitive. I mistakenly thought that it wouldn't work well because it sits fairly low. However, in my apartment, the mic easily picks up my voice as well as anyone talking within 5-10 ft of me. My mom thought I w...
  • Cons: Cord length.. I've only used Skull Candy for the last few years since they're decent quality for the low price tag. I will never buy a pair of headphones with a cord this long again. I'm 5'7" and even with my ipod in my pocket, the cord slack drapes down near my knees. It gets caught on EVERYTHIN...

User Review

jt a AudioPhile, Audio Review

  • Summary: I paid $65 on Amazon for the s4i's. I've tried many more expensive in-ear headphones and these Klipsch sound equally as good. Two channels per ear, with nice separation - clean, not tinny treble, and moderate, tight bass (when seated in ears properly).
