awful... they pull out of your ears when worn properly.

Kevin222222, CNET

  • Summary: if your in the market for ear plug type, i recommend the Shure SE215, by far superior product in the same price range in EVERY respect. they dont have a mic but it can be attached easily. If your not going to get the shures then a suitable substitute for these were the Bose SIE2i which i also bought at the same time. The Klipsch were a total waste of money. the bose are more comfortable, dont fall out, and on par with these, muted and not bright.
  • Pros: sound is acceptable. chord is light weight. different ear sizes included.
  • Cons: The chord is light and will prob not last. the Mic is super bulky. even when the plugs are worn properly with the clip, and wires over the ear, they pull out of your ear like crazy.

A disappointment

The Carlyle, buydig.com

  • Summary: Bought to use with on stage in-ear monitors. These felt better in my ear than the Apple iPhone ear buds, but did not sound as good, especially on low end. I regret buying them.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Fit My Ear Well
  • Cons: Apple Buds Sound Better, Poor Sound

update

Darren C., Newegg
23 May 2013
  • Summary: I will likely have to find a different pair of headphones. The only way I can stand to use these anymore is to sit motionless. Sorry. I have always loved Klipsch. But, I hate my headphones. I'm giving them 2 stars because they sound okay.
  • Pros: Okay sound.
  • Cons: The cords create sound when rubbed or bumped against any object such as clothing and chairs. This sound transfers along the cords to your ears. Even subtle movements such as the expansion of my chest from breathing creates noise that is much louder than the audio from my phone. The problem is the material that the cords are made from. It is so noisy that I'm finding the longer I use these ear buds, the less I can stand to use them. I hope this review makes sense. It's...

Great while they worked

Adrian F., Newegg
12 May 2013
  • Summary: I wouldn't mind at all buying a pair every 6 months if they were $10. Like other reviewers, I found them too flimsy and prone to wiring issues.
  • Pros: Comfortable, good sound.
  • Cons: Failed within 10 months. Sound is highly distorted in one channel (e.g., I can hear music track fine but audio track is distorted/indecipherable). Expect better from earphones this expensive.

I WANT to Love These

Penny B., Newegg
9 April 2013
  • Summary: These are so frustrating to own! The sound quality is very good, and these are by far the most comfortable earbuds I have ever had. Comes with several soft silicone tips that make fitting easy. I have very small ear canals and the smallest double flange tips fit perfectly. I wear these all night long because my bed partner snores quit a bit. I've owned 4 pairs in the last year and a half. I would have rated these 0 stars except for how darn comfortable they are.
  • Pros: Extremely comfortable Good quality sound Nice carrying case
  • Cons: Easily tangled Break too easily

This is terrible for its price

Du D., Newegg
11 March 2013
  • Summary: I thought it is about time to put some more money on a nice set of earphones and this one comes highly recommended by cnet. But it turned out this is a major dissappointment.
  • Pros: Confortable fit and it comes with a nice case.
  • Cons: Terrible quality, my $15 creative lab earbud can produce a much cleaner sound than this one.

Not very good

YAN V., Newegg
28 December 2012
  • Summary: Very overhyped buds. They are really not as good as people say and overpriced for what they are, even during sales. I am out sixty bucks, after just under two years, and I really should have gotten more out of these for the price I paid.
  • Pros: Ok sound. Came in Nice box
  • Cons: Sound not that much better compared to other earbuds in this price range. Horrible wire design. Wires frayed after about 1 year. How convenient because warranty is over. The rubber part of the wire that connects to the buds split in two on both sides. Earbud headphones are for using on the go. They are meant to be coiled around mps players, put in pocket, etc, etc. But these are so delicate that they must be treated with uttmost care - otherwise they fall apart like i...

Great sound, poor quality cabling.

fs8486, CNET
14 November 2012
  • Summary: Exceptional value for the money but if they don't hold up to normal wear and tear what good are they?
  • Pros: Sound is amazing, comapct design is fantastic and the iphone funcionality is great.
  • Cons: Thin, cheap wiring wore through in less than 10 months of light use. Only wore these while riding to work and back on my motorcycle.

Not as good as my vmoda's

Douglas D., Newegg
11 October 2012
  • Summary: I did not buy these through newegg but I felt compelled to write a review about these just to share my experiences. I purchased these to replace my slightly damaged vmoda earbuds as one of the cables is stripped near the earpiece and copper wire is now showing. I have been a big fan of Klipsch for many years and wanted to see how these would sound. Sadly, they do not compare as well as I thought.
  • Pros: Nice design, very comfortable in the ears.
  • Cons: Not as good as other high-end vmoda earbuds. See Other Thoughts below.
