Clarity is unbelievable

Jeffrey S., Newegg
6 May 2012
  • Pros: I'm not by any means an audiophile, all I care about is bass. I did some research, read some reviews and these are what I decided to put my money on. I put these in and started me tunes, and you know what, it's not the bass that blew me away, it's the clarity. I am hearing new instruments in song...
  • Cons: Of course the bass isn't as "boomy" as it is in regular headphones, but these earbuds definitely have excellent bass given that they are earbuds. With that being said, people don't buy earbuds for bass, I bought these because my ears get hot after wearing headphones for extended amounts of time. ...

Sounds is epic but build feels cheap.

Gary M., Newegg
16 March 2012
  • Summary: There are a LOT of in-ear phones in this price range. Out of probably hundreds of models from many brands, it's unlikely you will find more than a few pairs that sound as good as these do. For all around superior sound quality, these are an excellent choice.
  • Pros: -OK aesthetics -Nice carrying tin with two extra ear piece sizes Handy tool for cleaning the ear wax out of the ear piece canal. (Trust me, you will probably need to use this several times if you use these phones a lot) -Sound quality is excellent. Very good good highs, and somehow doesn't dull o...
  • Cons: I feel like the all plastic design and very thin non-braided cable makes these phones feel cheap. To back that up, my pair is currently scrapped because the right ear went out slowly. I had to twist and turn the cable and tape it in a certain position to get it to work for the last year or so. I'...

Great headphones especially at this amazing discounted price.

  • Pros: If you are an audiophile and want to get the most bang for your buck get these now!! These are pretty amazing. There is a reason why a lot of forums and sites(cnet) recommends them. They are music to my ear so to speak.
  • Cons: Could be made from more sturdier material.

Best bang for the buck

Joel S., Newegg

  • Pros: These have been the best headphones I've ever ever owned. There are better out there, but not for the price.
  • Cons: The cord produces a slight noise whenever its touched.

Great set, hard to repair

Michael E., Newegg
29 January 2012
  • Summary: Great set, I just wish the wires weren't such a pain to fix if they break
  • Pros: - Awesome sound quality - Looks cool - Etc etc
  • Cons: - There are some reliability problems because of the small wires - I am repairing my friend's set right now, there are about 8 enameled wires inside the cable, very tiny and hard to solder (you need to burn the enamel off of the wire with a lighter first).

hmmm

Stephen P., Newegg
28 January 2012
  • Summary: For the money I paid, and the use that I've put them through...I would gladly step down to the next tier of headphones and sacrifice some sound quality for function during athletic activities...plantronics makes a pretty sweet pair.
  • Pros: I have had these headphones for a year now and I feel like I can finally write a decent review on these. *Different earbuds for ear sizes, tough and durable wires (compared to most that are braided), and great sound with crisp highs and a deep bass. The sound only gets better after 'burning in' a...
  • Cons: If you are getting these for working out...I would probably say look elsewhere. While these things are tough enough to be toted around everywhere...if ANY moisture or sweat gets on the rubber earbuds they just pop out of your ear. I've tried every single ear bud size (which actually affects the s...

Good.

Anonymous, Newegg
23 January 2012
  • Summary: Fantastic headphones, though I prefer a 'warm' sound signature, and these have more of a 'cool' sound signature. They are good headphones that are worth your money, but I think they are over-hyped a little bit. There are some really good competitors.
  • Pros: These are ridiculously durable. Don't let that flimsy-looking cord fool you, these can take abuse. As far as sound, they are great all around and very accurate. Comfy. Klipsch e-mail tech support is really friendly (don't use their chat though). When I lost a large earpiece I e-mailed them and th...
  • Cons: Volume can get loud, although I wish it could go even louder as my ears aren't too good. The highs can be fatiguing and can be a little overpowering. Bass is very solid, although you're definitely not going to FEEL the beat anytime soon.

Nice but treat them gently

Dan O., Newegg
19 January 2012
  • Summary: I need to replace mine. I will not buy this model again, had they lasted more than a month, I would have been happy.
  • Pros: I liked them, the fit was good, the sound quality great.
  • Cons: The down side for me is on my set, somewhere between the plug and speakers, the wire(s) are broken. I can get them to work crunching up the cord, let it hang, dead. I work with them on, I probably hooked the cord and broke them. So, take that

User Review

Michael S., Newegg
17 November 2011
  • Summary: These came highly recommended from old reviews on CNET. Not sure I would recommend these to anyone else, especially not at this price level.
  • Pros: -- Very clear highs and rich bass if you can get the buds to fit fully within your ear.
  • Cons: -- Considering the price tag, not the huge upgrade from the Apple buds I was hoping for. -- Maybe this is problematic for all in-ear buds, but getting a good fit is a pain, even with the three options for bud size. The large is too big. The small is too small. The medium fits OK but not great. --...

Good but expensive

Marko V., Newegg
12 November 2011
  • Pros: Nice quality sound for small speakers. From what others said i was worried they wouldn't fit, but the stock ones fit comfortably. (it came with 3 different rubber fittings)
  • Cons: Expensive!!!!! If you can't find it on a good deal do yourself a favor and wait.
