Summary: The Klipsch s4's and s4i's are exactly the same, except the s4i are more expensive for this volume control thing that only works with apple devices. Everyone should enjoy music they way it was meant to be... not with less than average white generic phones that packed with your mp3 player. Klipsch's amazing customer service, and quality products have gotten them a customer for life.
Pros: I've had the Klipsch s4's for a a long time, before Newegg had them in stock. I've had plenty of ups and downs with them, allow me to clarify. I had S___re e2c before but they broke after much abuse. I picked these up because of rave reviews in the price segment, I immediately fell in love with the comfort, and the sound alike. The bass was livelier compared to my older IEM's and mids and highs were on point, not drowned or muffled. I had to make my friends listen to ...
Cons: No product is perfect, and these are no exception. I would have taken away eggs, except there were dealt with accordingly. I accept I was unlucky. 1) My Klipsch s4's are fragile. They broke. Twice, by the 3.5mm jack. But Klipsch's relentless customer service had my music back within a few weeks and gave me free eartips as well! It is said the best customer service is the one you never have to contact, but I can't say it was an unpleasant experience... They have wonder...
Summary: Took a while to figure out that these are designed to go over the ear with the cord. Its alright I guess but I prefer them regularly but you must switch the L and R to do this.
Pros: They sound amazing....traveled all over Europe this summer with them. I listen to a lot of hip hop music, many which is downloaded and not always the best quality files to begin with so its hard to judge the actual quality. But for the most part these have been amazing as far as comfort, fit, and sound. Love that they now come in white.
Cons: At times, bass can be a little heavy. Cord tangles easily. I do not like the case, takes too long to get them into it and it does not fit my phone plug attachment. The cord does carry vibrations and movement very easily, I believe this is because of the material, sensitivity and the sound isolating seal you get with these. It is a downside but doesn't bother me....just shows how well they fit. Recently, the left side sound like it has blown and sound comes out staticy...
Summary: I bought the klipsch s4i along with the iPhone4 on iPhone4's launching day cause I thought my new phone deserves a good earbuds. Boy was I wrong. klipsch s4i is nothing more than a piece of sh*t! Please excuse my language or if I offended any klipsch fans, but im just trying to speak of my mind. The sound will break when the note is too high and there is absolutely no bass.
Summary: This was the first pair of headphones that I truly fell in love with. I remember it like it was yesterday, I asked my roommate of I could borrow his headphones while I studied for my upcoming computer science midterm. He handed me a tangled mess of black rubber wire, and said "here, they suck but they're the only ones I have". Laughing, I put them in my ears, and was surprised at the immediate ease of insertion.
Pros: cheaper than Ethiopian dirt, good construction, glorious bass, perfect fit.
Summary: These will provide very good isolation if you get the correct fit. I managed to do this by trying out all the tips affered. As others have noted, the is a little bit of distortion on the highs, which I've noticed slightly affects the vocals. The bass on these is really good, altough it fortunately doesn't drown the rest of the sound, which makes them a little balanced to my ears. Overall good value.
Summary: I really like these earbuds. they are a huge step up from the crappy skullcandys that I bought a few years ago. They are a little bass heavy, but that doesn't bother me. I love the in line controls, they come in really useful. I didn't rate the mic, though, because I don't use it. They work great for me and I think anyone would enjoy listening to them.
Pros: Sound Quality, bass in particular, in line iphone controls
Cons: can be a little uncomfortable after a long time (2+ hrs)
Summary: These were the last in-ear headphones I bought before I decided that I just can use them without feeling like my head is in a vice. That being said, these were the most comfortable vice-like in-ears that I found. Klipsch always prices their products very well and these were no exception, the sound quality for a pair of sub $100 headphones is superb. They were very good at isolating sound as is the way of most in-ear headphones since they're pretty much ear plugs.
Pros: Price, bass, ipod controlls
Cons: cannot be worn for long periods of time, missing treble
Summary: I got these about 7 months ago and I use them to listen at work. I have a very borring job and these really help to brighten my day. The mids and highs are gorgeous. The bass is good too but I would not reccommend them to a person who oppsesses about bass. The ear bud tips are klipsch signature but I would say they need improvement because I have to take them out of my ears often. They are amazing for the price and I loved them while they lasted.
Summary: *Note I did not purchase the one with the microphone
Right after I got my Beats Studio stolen, I decided to get a temporary pair of headphones while I get better ones and these seem to be great for that. They come in a tin carrying case (somewhat cheap) and come with medium, large and medium double flanged tips.
Pros: Above average bass response, price is just right, great isolation, lightweight, overal clarity
Cons: The treble may sound fuzzy, to me it did, cheap carrying case,
