Summary: Let me start off this review by saying two things: 1) This is one of my very first reviews, so I'm sorry if I'm horribly inaccurate and stupid-sounding or just flat-out wrong. I try to write my reviews without bias and with as much honesty as I can. 2) I am not an audiophile, I listen to my headphones on an iPod touch 5th gen, and I don't own a portable amp.
Summary: These are my favorite headphones of all time. They aren't the best sounding or looking or the best quality build, but they aren't lacking and can be found for VERY cheap.
Quality and looks
The looks are very good. I would prefer a matte finish but the leather-texture on the back of the ear cups looks very nice. The chrome also looks nice. They are small and look completely non-pretentious. The build quality is shocking.
Pros: Inexpensive, durable, lightweight, good sound, bass, in-line remote
Cons: A bit small for over-ear, a bit big for on-ear, thin cable/connector
Summary: My favourite earphones were the Klipsch Image s4's. Purchased these for 80$ back in Jan 2011. Still going strong. Theses were my first expensive earphones, and they got me hooked. I have tried Bose, Sennheiser, Dr. Dre( haha lol...), Sony and a lot of othet IEMs/ headphones below 200$ after that, but none even came remotely close to my s4's. I currently own:
1. The s4's
2. The Image one
3. MEE M6
5. Apple stock
6. couple of samsung stocks, etc...
Summary: These are great set of headphones. I am used to in ears, but I decided to get these as in ears start to get to me a while after wearing them a lot. Like any headphone pair I have, they aren't loud enough on my iPod, and I like music loud to bring out the music. As they are bass oriented, they will likely sound quieter in the treble anyway. I guess I'll need a headphone amp to help the volume, as the iPod just can't put out enough for this 32 ohm headphones.
Pros: Great sound quality, Bass is amazing, not over powering (I prefer more bass, especially as less bass usually mean treble that is more shrill.), Good looks and build quality, Price is great
Cons: A bit large on smallest size (I have a small head, but they could have made the headphones smaller on the smallest size), Ear cups are a weird size, Cord on both side of headphone, Cord ends weak maybe, like the Image S4, Not folding, Case large
Summary: Pros Great sound quality Durable - mine are still going strong after 2 years Nice case for travelling Good sound insulation Cons Your ears can start to get a little warn with extended use Would I buy them again? Yes I would. Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes, but it would depend on the intended use.
Summary: These are amazing!!! I own a number of headphones which cost £200 plus but these not only keep up but at times I think are better. When ever I have a friend looking to spend some real money on a brand line Bose / B&O /B&W etc I always ask them to listen to these first and they are blown away! I can't say enough good things about these cans!! BUY THEM!
