Summary: I bought this because i needed a cam that clip onto my laptop. It does NOT stay on AT ALL!! If you are looking for a cam that attaches to your laptop, this WILL NOT WORK! I threw it in the trash.
Summary: I don't know what happened, but I used this to Skype with my kids from work and the picture quality is poor. I was hoping it would be better than my old camera, but really not that much better.
Summary: Windows 7 sais it does not like this device: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) Yes, I did look for support, drivers and all imaginable solutions, including a special boot mode for "unsigned" drivers. Nothing works... well, that's not true. The built-it microphone works. So: obsolete for newer operating systems.
Summary: I have not received this device yet but I feel, from the reviews I have read, it will work well with the XP device I am hooking it to. You'll said it works great with Skype, and that is its main purpose. I only needed a small laptop clip-on type camera / mic. If worst comes to worse, I'll velcro it to the top of the laptop (removeable). New comments after i receive it.
Summary: I decided to buy this web cam and while it isn't the best available on the market it is great for the price. $15 you cant beat that for a simple and decent Jwin camera. It works with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. It installed the first try. I'm not sure why it doesn't work well for some but maybe it is time to say goodbye to Windows Vista and buy Windows 7.
Summary: I got an HP Windows 7 laptop special buy at Walmart last year. It had everything I wanted except a built in webcam. I bought this camera so that I can Skype with video on this HP laptop. I used the CD that came with it to install only the drivers then exited, removed the CD and plugged in the camera. Computer recognized the camera. Turned on Skype and checked the video and it was working perfectly!
Summary: The cam actually works great. The color and photo effects is quite good. It works across board with various messengers like Skype, Yahoo etc. I have read someone's post about the headset being "childlike" because they felt it couldn't reach their ears when they put it on, however, the strip connecting the 2 ear pieces needs to be worn behind your head and not on top. The mic goes to your left side.
