Summary: We have had a pair of these for years, connected to the TV in the kitchen. We greatly prefer the wireless headphones because our kitchen has a high ceiling and it's very hard to hear the TV speakers.
Pros: Very long range, good sound, comfortable to wear, long battery life
Cons: Microwave interferes with them, but that's not surprising
Excerpt: I purchased these headphones as a gift to my husband who is an avid movie buff. For some reason, it is imperative for him to turn on the home theater system every time he watches a movie. It's not enough for him to hear the movie but to feel it as well. Honestly, there are days when I don't want to feel like the house is going through an earthquake. I would rather have some peace and quiet time to read, take a nap or even think.
Summary: The headset has worked great in my household. I have left them on my head and realized they were working clear as a bell downstairs when I retrieved something to drink. What clarity they have! Tune them in and your all set. I've even laid down with them and they don't turn off like others have. All the controls are on the side of the ear piece and don't get in the way of laying on side. What a great deal!
Excerpt: For not much more than the price of replacement batteries for the TV Ears my wife was using, we got these. Vastly better sound quality. More comfortable. Better range and no need for line-of-sight to the transmitter. Volume is adequate, but no more than that. We're using our cable box as the source, though, and I'm sure its output is minimal. Installing the batteries was frustrating as it requires removing (easy) and replacing (frustrating) one foam earpad.
Excerpt: For not much than the cost of replacement batteries for my wife's TV Ears 2.3, we got these wireless headphones. Far more comfortable and vastly superior sound quality compared to the TV Ears. Range is good. They have adequate volume but don't go real loud using our cable converter box as the source. Installing the batteries is frustrating as it requires removing (easy) and replacing (the frustrating part) one of the foam ear covers.
Excerpt: I purchased the JVC headphones to replace a set of Bose I had for almost 10 years. I found the quality of sound to be as good as the older ones I had, if not slightly better. I have taken them outside and could still clearly hear my tv. I don't use them for any other appliance. I would recommend these to my best friends.
