Not a bad set of cans

Jason A., Newegg
15 March 2015
  • Summary: In this price range they cannot be beat. At least I haven't found anything. Be prepared to look like you're on the pit crew at Talladega. I have no shame and value sound quality over everything else. Who cares if my neighbor can hear?
  • Pros: These headphones cannot be beat for the money. Great sound at a great price. Long cord gives you flexibility. -Price -Sound Quality -Long cord
  • Cons: A little tight on the head for those of us with a large melon. This has diminished over time though. The biggest con is that EVERYONE can hear what you're listening to. So if you listen to things that you'd not want others to hear then these headphones will not mitigate that risk. -Can be tight on the head -Leaks sound profusely -Huge. Like wearing cupcakes on your ears.

Comfortable, Great Sound

Jamison L., Newegg
6 January 2015
  • Summary: Picked these up based on other reviews saying they were comfortable and delivered good sound. Most headphones either squeeze my head or crush my ears, but I can wear these for hours on end with no discomfort whatsoever. Using them for gaming along with a separate microphone. Loving them so far.
  • Pros: Extremely Comfortable, Great Sound, Long Cord, Large
  • Cons: Very Large, Cord may be too long for some

Reviewing after 3 years

Scott G., Newegg

  • Summary: Bought these a few years ago after the wife complained about the noise from gaming. Used pretty much daily since. Sound quality is fantastic for the price, at both loud and soft levels. Easy to wear for several hours although in the summer they do get warm after extended periods. They've held up great and still sound great. I wear these on the smallest setting and I'm a normal sized guy. Just a caution if you think you have a small head.
  • Pros: Great sound quality, comfortable, long cord
  • Cons: Doesn't fit the wife's head (not my problem)

  • Summary: If you want a great headphone set, these are the ones to buy. They produce true highs and deep lows for anything you plug them into. I am amazed at the sounds they crank out when I use them on my Korg Triton keyboard! They are big, but are very lite weight and comfortable. I would highly recommend them if you want some very high quality headphones for a low price!

  • Summary: I've owned these headphones and used them on a daily basis for well over 2 years now. I've played games, listened to music, and watched TV shows/movies. The sound quality is good and the headphones have made it through much wear and tear. I'm happy I bought these.
  • Pros: Durable Mostly comfortable Long cable Decent Sound Quality
  • Cons: After 5 or 6+ hours they get mildly uncomfortable to wear with glasses. Most headphones like this do though.

  • Summary: no need for > $100 Senheisers or other brands. this is the product that will give you best value and quality of manufacturing and sound in over 80% of cases - if you're a true audiophile and can detect the difference with more expensive headphones, go for other brands. I don't need to, and I'm very far from being hearing challenged.
  • Pros: I'm no audio professional, but these convinced me that I had no reason to spend any more money on very high quality headphones. there is no loss of functionality. the bass is as rich as always, the high tones are almost heard by the neighbor's dogs, and the entire frequency spectrum is well reproduced. love them for DJ music. long cable is a very nice feature, very useful.
  • Cons: none. I'm sticking with JVC for headphones for the last 2 years and in the predictable future.
