Summary: I went around for about 2 weeks looking for a good pair of headphones. Let me tell you many of these headphones out on the market especially the top of the line "Beats" have very good sound, However what I was looking for was a headphones with quality sound yet one which I could where for a very long time. Most headphones start pinching your head after about 1 hour especially the "Beats". I would take these headphones over the most expensive "Beats".
Summary: First I bought the JVC HARX700 as the reviews were very good, the set looked comfortable and the sale price put it at around 32 bucks. I was pleased with the sound. A few weeks later I became curious and tried the 900. The sound was sooooooo much cleaner, less distortion-just like comparing a great receiver to an average one. The music sounds much better with less noise, so much less noise that you can play it louder and it won't bother your ears.
Summary: Decent sound for the price. For the high end sound you would want to look at a higher end product. I was a little surprised at how large these were. It was hard to tell from the picture online and they reminded me first of a helicopter pilot headset.
Pros: Burned in for day or two and they sound beautiful. music and games are more full without rocking down the house with floor speakers. I work Mids and keeping the house quiet while I game and such is very important but I also like to listen to the TV/games/music at more then a faint whisper.
Pros: I've got to say I'm astonished with how comfortable these are. I read a review where someone said they fit tight on people with large heads, but I've got a head like a pumpkin and I could leave these on for hours.
Summary: Wanted a solid pair of headphones at a decent price. These headphones perform well through all ranges, and are extremely clear. I love them.
Pros: Very clear through all ranges, big ear pads, and dampens a lot of exterior sound.
Cons: Very high resistance (ohms) so they exaggerate extreme volume variations and require a lot of juice. Not recommended for battery driven devices. A little light on the low end, but easily compensated for from source device.
