Conclusion: These are pretty good noise cancelling headphones. They dont seem to bother my ears nearly as much as most noise cancelling headphones do with that pressure feel. I can still hear just a little bit of outside noise, but I would have to say it feels like it eliminates about 85% of it. I can only hear things if someone is REALLY close to me and talking loud.
Conclusion: I got these for my last trip back home to NY. they got to me in about 3 days which was in plenty of time. I was expecting to only really use them a few times a year when i fly home, but they turned out to be much better, and i use them all the time now. I see very mixed reviews on these, but I dont understand why. I paid $35 for some noise cancelling headphones, and they are worth every penny. for headphones that cost that price, i cant imagine anything better.
Summary: If you travel by air frequently, then noise cancelling headsets are a must. As one who both flies aircraft and travels as a passenger, noise is the most tiresome factor in travelling. This headset replaces one I have used for years and the technology has advanced and it is superb.
Summary: I was looking for a noise cancelling headphones before my holiday and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on them, and after searching I have found this JVC one (Ha-Nc80). The price was good and before purchase I read the reviews on Amazon about them. To be hones some of the opinions are completely opposite. For example some people said that Noise Cancelling is very good, but some that is very poor. I was confusing.
Summary: Bought these to use both at work and when travelling. Nice sound for noise cancelling headphones. The passive isolation is doing a good job and the active noise-filtering is effective, for monotonous noise. Very happy with the purchase.
Summary: Bought these a while back, and reviewing now as I have just used them on a flight for the first time. I use the train a fair bit and hook these up to my Samsung Galaxy S3 to listen to music or watch films, and the Virgin trains are pretty quiet so it's been difficult to say how well the noise cancelling works. Having used on 2 flights last week, I can say I am very pleased with the noise cancellation!
Summary: My wife watches TV. I don't. And we live in an open-plan house. So I'm trying to escape the TV, but I can't, because the noise of screaming brats in talent show audiences is driving me mad, as my previous non-noise-cancelling Sony headphones let all the noise through! Then I bought these and I can stick my music on, without having to deafen myself by turning the volume up to drown out the TV noise, though the noise cancellation isn't absolutely total, it's good enough to...
Summary: I travel a lot and find these a blessing on trains and planes; they're also useful in a noisy open-plan office. This was my second pair after an accident by one the airlines. My main problem is I keep forgetting to turn off the noise cancellation and running the battery down.
