Failed in less than 6 months

  • Summary: I tried to get some kind of warranty information, but it seems like JVC does not provide an explicit warranty. It's too bad, it was a nice set of headphones, but now I'll be cautious before a buy another JVC product.
  • Pros: While it worked, it provide decent performance in a small package.
  • Cons: It failed after only 8 hours of use. The noise cancellation feature started to fluctuate, so I replaced the battery. After several batteries, I had to admit that it was just broken. It works intermittently which too annoying to be useful.

Headphones that lasted 2 days

Briversbabs, Gettington

  • Excerpt: This item was purchased as a gift for my daughter age 10. The rubber or foam around the area that covers the ear dropped off by the second day. We used tape to hold it together. The headphone's sound was good, but it's construction, particularly the one we purchased was extremely poor. We expected much more for $59.00.

  • Excerpt: I purchased these cans based on several positive reviews and a reasonable price. They looked good out of the box and came with a nice case. However the buzzing, hum of the active noise-cancellation was too much for my ears. I expect silence during the silent parts. They might be okay on a roaring plane ride but not for less extreme situations. The background noise from active "noise-cancelling" technology is a ironic downer.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor Sound, Poor Value, Too Much Ambient Noise
