Excerpt: Very good noise reduction. Folding feature enables them to easily fit in a computer case. Very comfortable and good sound quality. I prefer clear trebles rather tha booming base, and these deliver. Great headphones at a fraction of what Bose would cost with nearly the same performance. PS, these replaced an identical set that I had. They broke on an overnight flight to Europewhen I fell asleep with them on. So they are a bit fragile.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight
Excerpt: A bit bulkier than my old Senheisers but very serviceable. More compact than the Boise headphones that I see other people with on planes. The retractable cord is a plus. Overall good noise canceling on the plane.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact Design, Great Sound Quality
Summary: They sound good too and the active noise reduction works really well. My previous Sennheisers were excellent and smaller but were more than double the price. The JVC benefit from the retractable lead and the battery power source being located in the headpiece. In contrast to other reviews I had no trouble finding and installing the battery. Both myself and my wife had the more expensive Sennheisers and the wires were a pain.
Summary: The build quality is good and the retracting cable is a neat idea, in all, they are good value for money. I am not impressed with the noise cancelling technology, used on a recent Atlantic flight I found the effect pretty minimal. Others have stated that the noise cancelling is comparable with far more expensive units, I can't comment on this having not done a market comparison, but if this is the case then it is not a technology worth any extra in terms of investment,...
Summary: Actually I do like this headphone, however, if the noise cancellation is important for, do not even consider to buy it. That is something, which is not working at all. Basically there is no difference, when it is on or off. However, the sound quality is really nice on the bass range and alsonin the high range.
Summary: I bought these to replace some previous JVC headphones. I do a lot of international travel, so wanted something small and compact, with good sound quality for long-haul flights. After trying many different travel and sound cancelling headphones, I picked these as the best. They fold up really neatly, into a compact bundle that its into their own soft carry case - ideal for slipping into a bag or briefcase. Sound is deep, warm and truly excellent.
