Excerpt: Pros: Great sound, lots and lots of bass, the price was a stealCons: Very big, cant wear outside the house, will look pretty ridiculous, no cushion on top so hurts the top of ur head after a while
Summary: Beats by Dre Studios were my first foray into Bass headphones. I come from the Car Audio side and competed in IASCA events SPL, dB drags and Sound clarity.
My purchase of Beats was a purely as homage to a great Hip Hop producer who I thought wouldn't sign off on his name being on anything that was crap. They weren't "crap" but they were way over priced and fragile.
I live in Japan and there are some huge "Denki" shops. Electronic goods superstores.
Summary: If weight is a consideration, and it should be, these aren't for you. I put some foam under the band to aleviate some of the weight. Great sound for listening when lying down though, then the weight is not an issue.
Summary: These headphones are excessively large and sweaty on the ears. Although they get pretty loud the bass rattles at 80% volume. As a bass head I was extremely in satisfied with the quality of bass considering the price point.
Summary: I listen to a lot of music while I am gaming and the sound is exremely crisp. Whether there is highs or lows in the sound you can hear it extremely well. They have some weight to them which is nice as they feel like good quality. Only had them a short time so time will tell how durable they really are.
