Good, while they last

Anonymous, Newegg
11 July 2012
  • Summary: So if these break so easily why did I give them 4 stars. Well I have never misused them so it is no fault of my own. But JVC keeps sending me new pairs every time they break. There is a 1 year manufacturer warranty on these, all you have to do is call and then file your complaint, and then email them your original invoice. Yes they break, but hey they keep sending me replacement pairs so who cares. They're cheap and I use them on the go all the time.
  • Pros: Great sound from such a small driver. Really pumps out some good bass. For 25 bucks it produces some great sound quality.
  • Cons: While they sound great, they break... a lot. I've had 3 sets break on me. The first one was defective right out of the box- it only output in mono. The second pair the left headphone kind of died and produced a muffled reduced sound. The third pair the right ear went out all together.

Great audio quality

CHRISTOPHER P., Newegg
21 April 2012
  • Summary: Disclaimer: I'm not an audiophile, and I haven't tested with high-bitrate digital audio sources. Having said that, I'm completely satisifed with my purchase. I mainly use these for watching streaming video content on PC and multiple mobile devices (laptop, tablet, smartphone), and the audio quality is more than adequate for these purposes.
  • Pros: Audio quality, cord length.
  • Cons: May be personal, but can be uncomfortable after extended wear (>1 hour).

Great Value

Ryan H., Newegg
26 October 2011
  • Summary: Perfect for working out, which is my primary use for them.
  • Pros: Ear buds stay in through workout. Clip allows for little bouncing while running. Sound quality is very good (though not great). Block out 90% of external sound. Great product for the price
  • Cons: Sound quality is slightly less impressive than other buds out there, but then again these were quite inexpensive.

Great Sound, Bad Design

Dustin P., Newegg
15 October 2011
  • Pros: Amazing sound. For such small headphones they have great bass.
  • Cons: To get that sound, you have to somehow trick them into staying put. The buds, no matter which dampers are used, just don't sit right in the ear, leaving you hearing background noise and losing all the bass. After extended wear (2-3 hours), they are very uncomfortable. The stiff cord makes a lot of noise against clothing and also tends to not allow much motion without losing the buds again. Love the sound, hate the design.

Amazing Sound!!

Justin B., Newegg
30 August 2011
  • Summary: Comes with three sizes of plugs. Try all of them to find the best fit of your ear.
  • Pros: After switching to a different plug size (where there was a better seal) the sound quality is unbelievable. Great bass for such a tiny ear bud. I actually had to turn the bass down on my mp3 player after switching to these new buds. Not sure about "HD" sound, but its pretty dang good.
  • Cons: Cord is not very rigid near plug. I've had problems in the past with other headphones wearing out near the plug and the stereo cutting in and out. No problems so far though.

Tried fistfulls, these are a WIN!

Ruth M., Newegg
23 August 2011
  • Summary: best $25 ear bud I have tried.
  • Pros: Great frequency response crisp highs mellow mid-range phenomenal lows soft fitment in the ear, design wont allow full out during a sweaty workout. 3 different sized soft rubber dampers fit even my children's ears.
  • Cons: Upper range highs could be slightly over pronounced. Easily reduced with equalization.

Mini torture instruments care of JVC

KE & S Moodie, Amazon
30 August 2014
  • Summary: These are possibly the most uncomfortably designed headphones I have used. The sound is just fine but there is just no way to use this comfortably. I have not had any comfort problems with any of the headphones i have previously used but JVC have gone beyond the call of duty in designing these mini torture instruments.
