Best Earbuds I've Owned so Far

Anonymous, Newegg
22 January 2015
  • Summary: -Frost
  • Pros: •Unique design makes it impossible to confuse L & R buds & fits the ear much better than most I've seen. •Adjustable sheath for keepin' 'em tigher or loose under the chin. •Sound Range is fantastic!!! Bass & highs are represented better than the few other earbuds I've had, which include some made...
  • Cons: •After wearing them for significantly long periods of time, the "air bubble" bulge can become a slight discomfort. ...can't really think of anything else currently.

Low Price, POWERFUL Sound

Ryan K., Newegg
12 April 2012
  • Summary: Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with these. The cons I've mentioned are hardly more than slight nitpicks, neither of which bother me enough to even consider taking an egg off my rating. These are probably the best earbuds you can get for such a low price.
  • Pros: I've had about six different pairs of earbuds over the past few years, but these are easily the best ones I've tried. The cheap price is misleading, as the sound quality is excellent. Great bass and really good treble. The air cushion design keeps them from shifting or falling out as other earbud...
  • Cons: Though the solid foam tips offer the best sound quality, they can also get a bit uncomfortable with extended use. The other tips don't have this problem, however they also offer slightly decreased sound quality and less noise canceling. But over all, quality is still quite good no matter which ti...

Very pleasing!

Mark G., Newegg
21 February 2012
  • Pros: The sound profile is very easy on the ears. The music does feel "alive" but only with the foam pads. The rubber pads offer a more "sterile" experience. Not a lot of separation in the highs, but still very pleasant to listen to. Make you want to sing along. Turn off bass boost, these have plenty o...
  • Cons: Ultra-short cord. 1 meter?

Absolutely Wonderful

Conrado J., Newegg
29 December 2011
  • Summary: I mostly listen to 80's rock/metal and these are perfect. I occasionally listen to other genres such as
  • Pros: I love the quality and bass of these earbuds. I've always bought in this price range but never had earbuds as good as these. The bass is amazing and the mids and highs are up there too.
  • Cons: None so far, I'm hoping they last for a while though.

Nothing special

Galen V., Newegg
29 November 2011
  • Summary: Go with an over-ear headphone if you want to do anything active and not just sit around. If you want to just sit around listening to music, then there are a lot of other options in this price range which are probably better.
  • Pros: The buds are comfy and have the standard 3 sizes of rubber tips for different ear sizes. They also have 1 set of "memory foam" tips. I tried these foams ones first and they felt uncomfortable after 30 seconds, and this is coming from someone who sleeps with foam ear plugs... The sound is ok, but ...
  • Cons: They are NOT vibration-proof. If you plan on doing anything active with these you WILL hear the noise of the cables tapping your body just like with other ear canal headphones. I do however think it is dampened slightly, although not enough to run with them. I bought these because I like my other...

Oh - Em - Gee

Dominic R., Newegg
21 November 2011
  • Summary: Now I never have to hear my parents or instructors again!
  • Pros: These things have AMAZING sound quality and very good bass. I can't believe what I was missing with the earbuds that came with my MP3 player. They are stable and comfortable. The clip is nice. High sound cancellation. Very recommendable.
  • Cons: Not really a con, but it can take some time to find the sweet spot in your ear to get proper bass from these. Otherwise you miss out.

best fitting earbuds to date

Joe C., Newegg
24 April 2011
  • Summary: I've purchased many earbuds in the $5 - $35 range, these sound as good as the best of them.
  • Pros: These buds stay in your ear, and comfortably. Joggers, sportsman and treadmill users will love these. They're also low-profile. I think my ears are average size and I can lay sideways on a pillow with them poking me.
  • Cons: At this price range any complaints would be whining.

Surprisingly good

Robert N., Newegg
4 February 2011
  • Summary: Thinking of getting a couple more sets for family.
  • Pros: I just bought these to replace the other JVC ear buds I bought at Wallyworld (aka wmart). There is a huge difference in the quality. I paid 2 dollars more for these, but the performance is sooooo much better. The base is very nice. Sounds are crisp and clear. There were elements of many songs I j...

Excellent value

Amy C., Newegg
6 January 2011
  • Summary: Not sure what they mean by "vibration proof". They are perhaps not quite as sensitive as my SE310 was, but chewing or playing with the cord will create noise just like all other inner-ear buds.
  • Pros: Bottom line: very comfortable, and the sound quality is excellent for $20 buds. Sound quality is always something tough to describe because it's so subjective, But I will say this: I owned the Shure SE310 earbuds before these (~$200). I still consider the SE310 to be the best sounding headhpones ...
  • Cons: The so-called memory foam earpieces feel stiff and difficult to use imo. I imagine they will soften up with time, but honestly the silicone earpieces seem to have better sound. No carry case.
