Great earbuds

Marchel H., Newegg

  • Pros: I think these are great earbuds for walking the dog. Easy to put in and they stay. I would recommend them especially for the price with the mic.
  • Cons: The cord is a little flimsy.

  • Summary: Just go buy your headphones from the dollar store if you're thinking of purchasing these JVC earbuds. There is too much treble, NO base whatsoever. Bad mute design, easy to mute your sound accidentally and they are very uncomfortable. I was looking for a quick replacement while I was out and about, same phone, so it wasn't some "base boost" I forgot to enable. These headphones are overpriced because you're paying for the "JVC" brand name.

  • Summary: Bought these on the fly after my dog chewed my Skullcandy buds. Needed something quick! Poor decision. They are not that comfortable even using the different sized ear peices, and the volume has been nerfed to the point that I can't hear my player in anything louder than the office. Gym, car, and such places, they are just too quiet to use. Worst of all, my Android won't recognize the microphone, something that was never an issue with my Skullcandy sets.

Best in ear buds

Ryan G., Newegg
17 March 2014
  • Summary: If you do any type of exercise, then these are the earbuds that you want. The others will wear out too quickly or get wet and then the performance is bad. These are rock solid. The foam does not absorb moisture so no worries about sweat.
  • Pros: These are better than all the rest, because they use noise isolation foam ("marshmellow") instead of the flimsy soft rubber/plastic that all the other brands are using.
  • Cons: Hard to find. Most stores only have the flimsy kind. Not the form fitting foam that this unit has.

Great in ear headphones

Ryan G., Newegg

  • Pros: Marshmallow ear buds last longer than the cheaper plastic variety. Also the marshmallow foam helps to isolate sound from the environment...but does not eliminate it.
  • Cons: none
