Ear Hook

BusyParent, Walmart
3 June 2015
  • Summary: I guess I must have small ears compared to the rest of the population. I've tried 3 separate times for a total of about 30 minutes trying to get this thing to stay in my ear. I even switched out the rubber piece that covers the speaker to different sizes and shapes (it comes with 2 different...

Absolutely useless sound quality.

devteambravo, CNET
5 March 2013
  • Summary: Definitely don't recommend getting one of these. Try BlueAnt or Plantronics.
  • Pros: Not really any I can think of as the device is basically a paperweight.
  • Cons: -Bad design - the ear hook is uncomfortable, the earbuds aren't anywhere as good as the plantronics offering., -Sound quality is terrible to the point the device is unusable., -Bad support.

Wind and noise magnet.

na1234567890, CNET
3 November 2012
  • Summary: I bought this thing about a year ago based on the Cnet review and Nicole's comment about better wind and noise cancellation. I guess I was fooled by "better". Inside it works fine. But outside, it's a wind and noise magnet, essentially unusable. It's as if the headset design is scooping the wind.
  • Pros: Works fine indoors.
  • Cons: Wind and noise magnet outside., Accelerometer is a gimick and useless.

TERRIBLE HEADSET HORRIBLE SUPPORT

GRMARX, CNET
21 May 2012
  • Summary: Uncomfortable fit. My ERA started the "New software is being installed, your headset will restart when finished" loop within a few months of receiving it. Weeks of emails back and forth with Aliph and they still haven't replaced my ERA.
  • Pros: NONE I CAN RECOMMEND
  • Cons: FIT, AND OVERALL BUILD QUALITY PLUS ALIPH's HORRIBLE SUPPORT

Doesn't work with IPHONE 4S

jujurrr, CNET
1 May 2012
  • Summary: A total waste of money. I went back to Blueant which works fine with the Iphone 4S. And they do stand behind their product. Great sound quality and comfortable fitting earpiece.
  • Pros: Good sound when it works. Cannot connect after you take a call. They cant hear you, so you have to call back with the bluetooth on.
  • Cons: The cover kept falling off exposing the wiring. It doesn't work well with the IPHONE 4S. I called customer service and they reset it but it didnt help. Customer service would not stand behind their product from an authorized dealer.

Yea right. Another try for five minute in office test !

craig1211, CNET
3 April 2012
  • Summary: I had a Motorola H17 Txt had some. Call complaints so I decided to,try this one out. It does not have near the ergonomics of my year old H17. Does not fit in ear well has poor features including a clumsy small call switch. Tap tap is ok, no volume rocker, still getting call complaints.
  • Pros: Nothing over competition
  • Cons: You name it it does it, half you know what. Buggy gimmick filled web site for custom voices that do not work right. You like paying top bucks to beta test? Have at it!

madeitbc, CNET
1 April 2012
  • Pros: Good sound
  • Cons: Does not fit well. They have already had recall on the ear loop. Thus when it does not fit well, it is useless

Great sound - horrific fit

jwnrw59, CNET
19 March 2012
  • Summary: As much as I have wanted to own a Jawbone headset, they simply do not fit my ears at all. No matter how good noise assassin is, it is useless to me if I can't wear the device.
  • Pros: Sound quality on both ends of the call, Customization
  • Cons: Painfully unbearable fit regardless of ear adapters used, So heavy that it constantly falls out
