Summary: I was also excited about this product, as I work from home and wanted a speaker option. General features and connectivity was great, it looked good, the battery lasts forever, but when I started making calls, the other line complained about an echo effect.
Voice dropping for Mac Mini Skype calls over Bluetooth
29 June 2015
Summary: I already owned a Jabra 410 that works great but it is a wired model. I bought the 510 to connect to a new Mac Mini (8GB model) over Bluetooth for Skype calls. It can connect to the Mac fine but the voice would drop every few seconds so it is unusable for Skype calls.
Summary: Would not work on our corporate VOIP conference system. Everytime I unmuted the device, every phone on the call went into a constant feedback / echo loop. Too bad. May work in some situations but certainly not all. I tried every configuration and customer support was attentive but nothing worked.
Summary: This product worked great for about 6 months. Then it began to create an echo on all my calls and would continuously get louder for the other people on the call to the point where I cannot use it on calls that are going to last over 5 minutes.
Summary: I returned the item, but first here's what was great. Nice design, pretty lights that give good information, good price point, great potential, does useful things. But here's my experience that led to returning it.
