Summary: look good. simple sleek. don't look like one of those people using studio grade (or look alike) headphones walking down the street. Do cut out when in pocket and cycling. sometimes bc of bumps or leg interference.
Pros: wireless or wired if you want! WINNING!? stereo headphones that collapse when storing, extend to form to head, and accept calls and adjust volume at the touch/ slide of finger!
Summary: Contacted customer support by email and after a week I contacted them again. STILL NO RESPONSE! DO NOT BUY! Unreliable product with even more unreliable customer service.
Pros: For the week it worked it sounded great!
Cons: After a week or so of moderate use the HALO now cuts out every 5-10 minutes. Its still connected (bluetooth) there just isnt any sound for a about a minute or so, then sound, then a few minutes, then no sound... I suspect it has to do with the weak and flimsy folding aspect of the headphones. Contacted customer support by email and after a week I contacted them again. STILL NO RESPONSE! DO NOT BUY! Unreliable product with even more unreliable customer service.
Summary: Admittedly, I bought the headset right after Christmas 1.5 years ago, so when I contacted them about any help, because it never has worked right, but I had thrown it in a drawer and forgot about it I told them when i bought it and that I didn't have a receipt. I was quickly contacted and told to send them a copy of my receipt. I replied that I had already told them I didn't have the receipt and it was bought 1.5 years ago so I doubted it was under warranty.
Pros: Fit is great, sound is great.
Cons: Battery is trash and customer service is worse.
Summary: Bought this for Ventrilo use on my laptop. While it still picks up a lot of background noise and the voices come through kind of strange, its better than the laptops built in mic.
Pros: Comfortable, portable, Amazing sound quality over stereo, good battery life, easy to pair, wireless with the option of 3.5mm jack for non blue tooth devices and no bright annoying light on the outside of the device.
Cons: Touch sensitive buttons are hard to find to skip tracks and its not great for ventrillo.
Summary: Would be easy to recommend without reservation if the signal were better, even in spite of the non-tactile interface design. But I can only really recommend this if what you are connecting to is something that isn't going to spend most of its time in your pocket while listening to it.
Pros: Very comfortable. Easy to pair and connect. Great audio quality.
Cons: There are very specific reasons why tactile buttons exist in other headphones, and those reasons largely revolve around situations where you can't see where you're pressing (i.e. on your ears while listening to music). Difficult to do the "double-tap to advance track" gesture without missing the hotspots entirely or increasing the volume needlessly. Bluetooth radio seems unreasonably weak and spotty. Signal frequently drops if my phone is near my body (in my pocket), ...
Cons: I charged the headset for 2hrs like the instructions said! I couln't get it to turn on. So I called Newegg for help and they said make sure the headset was extened outward until I feel a click, I did that. Then I charged for 2 hrs again because the guy said it never charged when in the off position. I did that and still it doesn't work this is my 2nd headset .I give up
Pros: This is a very robust and attractive device. I use it with my cell phone and two different Macs (personal laptop and desk machine at work). It pairs quickly, the sound quality is very good and it doesn't block outside sounds so you can hear people and beepers. Extra kudos for using mini-USB for charging. I love standardized power connectors.
Summary: I use this primarily to listen to episodes of my favorite TV shows as I go to sleep. It's nice to be untethered...I can listen while lying on either side, back, or stomach, twist and turn with no cords choking me! I've been shopping with Newegg for almost a decade, I base a lot of purchases on reviews of others, but this is my first review. I am surprised to see that reviews are not supposed to have comparisons to competing brands (per Newegg rules).
Pros: Sound is great. Touch controls are a nice touch. Comfortable for an hour or so, then I need a few minutes with them off. can move about 20 ft away unobstructed or 15 feet away with a wall between with none or little interruption. Good battery life
Cons: Sometimes connection takes a minute. Could be my phone (Samsung Captivate). Skipps infrequently during some video playback. This could also be my phone or video app that's causing the problem.
Summary: this is the fourth stereo bluetooth headset i've bought. the first 2 were motorola's (motorokr s309 and the s9-hd) both had good sound and range but were not comfortable for long periods. third was samsung wep870. that one was decent but not truly wireless. finally liked this jabra halo well enough i just ordered a second one to be able to swap them out for charging.
Pros: excellent sound quality playing music from phone for a wireless headphone. very comfortable for long periods. good battery life. regularly getting very close to the rated 8 hrs of music play.
Cons: short range before it starts cutting out. will start skipping and breaking up after only 10 feet.
