Summary: Whereas the price is kind of great, the audio is awesome and only slightly below that of Bose, I can't give this a 5 star. I bought these and thought they were great, even recommended them to my work colleagues and SEVEN of them bought them because they sound great! Problem is that they break. The plastic molding that connects the ear phones to the head band is hard and not flexible and ALL of ours has cracked.
Summary: The 92% noise reduction over rode the desire to spend less money and I am satisfied with this purchase. The noise reduction/elimination was a priority for my work environment and these Jabra C820s headphones coupled with good tunes HELP block the BS or cubicle meetings that have little regard for my lack of concentration. The padded ear cups cover my big ears with comfort. There is noticeable quality in the base percussion to my delight.
Summary: Just got a set for $85 from pcsol.com.au .
Pros: Lightweight compact design yet very comfortable and you forget you are wearing them after a few mins. Incredible sound reduction (even with ANC switched off). Can listen with ANC off. Detachable cord.
Cons: Cord is short but a $5 extension from Dick Smith will fix
Summary: Good noise reduction but the plastic in the headband broke after a few dozen uses aver a couple of years. Others may be more expensive to purchase, but they'll be better value for money in the long term
Summary: I have owned these headphone for a year and could not be happier. There is really differnce in the sound they produce compared to a bose At 1/3 of the price. The other morning I didn't notice my train arrive!! I use the headphonese everyday and platic brackets have developed cracks which is a concern. Also the thin headphone cable had to be replaced after about 9 months. i would rather use a thicker cable but the design of cable socket means only thin cables can be used.
Pros: Great Value for money. Fantatic noise canelling
Cons: Flimsy plastic headphone brackets. Headphone socket only allows thin cables to be used.
Summary: Purchased a set of these about 9 months ago and have used them extensively. Completed many 7+ hr flights on a single battery. Very comfortable and quality noise reduction. Not quite as good as Bose for noise cancelling but for the price there is no comparison.
Pros: - Will connect to anything thanks to adaptors supplied. - Long battery life. - Can continue to be used (as normal headphones) if battery dies - not possible on Bose QuietComfort models.
Cons: - Hard to sleep with these on - hardly a major gripe.....
