Still good, bad mic

Brian H., Newegg
21 March 2011
  • Summary: The signal sometimes distorts when the reception is iffy, IDK if this is due to bad reception or the phone, BUT I do know that signal is directly related to YOUR INTERFERENCE!!! Even though the signal should be locked on when you pair it, that doesn't mean that it isn't vulnerable to interference...
  • Pros: The sound picks up pretty well and it is durable, I've had it for over 2 years now, too bad it's been out of stock for awhile now. The bass isn't the best but it's a bluetooth and it's pretty decent for a headset. Easy to pair to devices, just hold the multifunction button till the LED indicator ...
  • Cons: The mic is very bad! To the point that I'd rather use the mic on the laptop rather than this one's. I only use it to listen to music and it is stereo so that's pretty great. The buttons on the sides all still works, but they get dirty pretty fast due to the rubbery layer. If you're getting this t...

  • Summary: I've used it with an LG enV cell phone and with built-in bluetooth as headphones on my netbook... look elsewhere unless you desperately need the cheapest stereo bluetooth headset
  • Pros: it's bluetooth... good battery life
  • Cons: mic does not do a good job of picking up my voice, people i have talked to say i am far away and muffled...has a good range but get's a bit of static at more than a few feet away...makes you look like dumbo with yellow ears...

  • Summary: Not sure why the orange version is so cool, read more reviews here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16875982135
  • Pros: One of the first bluetooth stereo headphones available
  • Cons: Slightly bulky, uncomfortable on my big head unless placed in *exactly* the right position. Sometimes static when talking on the phone. During syncing headphones have a tendency to go 'solid red' on indicator light, which means it is borked until the battery dies.

Great multipurpose headset

Benjamin B., Newegg
15 May 2009
  • Pros: Works great with my laptop and also my treo 700p cell phone. I love how the behind the head style keeps everything out of the way. Feels like I'm wearing light ear muffs. One of the many reasons I got this headset was so I could listen to music while laying in bed (music puts me to sleep pretty f...
  • Cons: No equalizer, but I don't think any bluetooth headsets have them yet. So, the music is pretty treble-y, but still pretty good sound.

Love them so far

Andrew B., Newegg
5 May 2009
  • Summary: I bought them for general use and I'm not big on ear buds. I am not sure how well these will hold up for excersize/gym/running use since they have foam coverings. But I have an old pair of sony wrap around phones that still work fine after being coated in sweat for years. So we'll see.
  • Pros: They work great with my HTC Touch Pro. They sound awesome. They have good volume. They are comfortable so far. Price is great for what they are.
  • Cons: Bass could be a little more but there wasn't room for a subwoofer.

User Review

  • Summary: Could it possibly be some kind of interference? I don't know what the problem is. They worked great in one place, and now they don't. Maybe it's an iPhone problem. It did start with the latest iPhone software update, sometime in Feb.
  • Pros: Very comfortable to wear. Pairs easily with everything I've tried. I bought these for my gf to use with her iPhone - for my benefit. (The corded stereo headset she was using picked up every touch to the cord, and would often be pointing the mic into her clothing, rather than her mouth.)
  • Cons: It worked perfectly, for a while. Sound quality was great, on both ends of the conversation. Then, she left the "big city," moved to the countryside, and suddenly the sound quality on my end got terrible. Lot's of "lost packets," or some other kind of crackling and broken sound. Very difficult to...

  • Summary: I am RMA'ing this in the hopes that it's actually a defective device. This headset would be ideal - if it worked!
  • Pros: Very comfortable. Very easy to pair with anything I've tried (Mac, some phones, a PS3, etc.) As wireless headphones for music, they work really well.
  • Cons: I have not been able to use this for the intended purpose as a headset for telephone calls. The in sound quality is fine, but the output sound is extremely horrid. Lot's of crackling and breaking up. I don't know if it's the microphone or the bluetooth radio. Same problem with Skype on my Mac, my...

stay away

Max R., Newegg
17 February 2009
  • Summary: phone Model: Motorola Moto Q9m
  • Pros: looks kinda cool, able to charge the battery, and that's about it.
  • Cons: well wen i got this thing I was happy, but then after I charged it and got it paired with my phone the mic doesn't even work. So if I call someone I can hear them but they cannot hear me, I know it is this because since owning it I have tried another brand/model and they work fine. just stay away.

Disappointed

Anonymous, Newegg
2 February 2009
  • Summary: I don't use Vista at the moment, so I have only tried XP. Works fine, but XP requires switching the audio to Blue Tooth audio output after tuning the headset on. This is inconvenient, and really an XP/Toshiba stack issue.
  • Pros: Sound is better then expected (not great, but but acceptable). Light and easy to work with.
  • Cons: Dongle not included! Switching between multiple devices (cell phone, computer, etc. should be easier). NO support! Company US phone is no longer in service! No US email. No response from company email.
