  • Excerpt: These Grados are wonderful. Sound is nice and warm, and they are physically very lightweight due to the wood construction. Price is not ridiculously expensive - a little higher than I wanted to spend but generally speaking, very fair for the quality. Highly recommend everyone at very least test these out.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Lightweight

  • Excerpt: I have no complains about the quality of the sound, it's impressive, there are no words to describe it, you gotta try them. But, the cable is too big and obstructive, is not easy to keep the cable inside your jacket while you're walking.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Stylish
  • Cons: Cord Too Big

Excellent Headphones

  • Excerpt: I use these headphones for listening straight out of an iPhone. I also own the RS1, the GS1000, the SR225, and the 60. Leaving the tempermental GS1000 out of the mix, this headphone falls squarely between the RS1 and the SR225. It has better instrument separation, soundstage, and clarity over the SR225, but in some ways the RS2 is a little bright and bass-light for running straight out of a low powered device.
  • Pros: Great Sound

  • Excerpt: The most important upgrade I ever made to my musical stuff. Previously I had the SR125i, that was outstandingly good in relation to other headphones. This is better. Compared to my previous cans (AKG, Revox piezo electric) this is sweet, open detailed, non fatigating, warm... I love them...!!! I use them with the RA-1 amp (with batteries) and for digital music a very cheap DAC go-vibe.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Value, Great Sound
  • Cons: Kind Of Soviet Design, Too Much Ambient Noise

Great, naturally sounding cans

  • Excerpt: This being my first set of high-grade cans, I found these Grados to have quite a unique build and feel that differs from anything I have gotten used to in the past. The detailed mid-high response reveals details and nuances that previously went unheard. Although, there is a definite push toward the mids, the lows and the highs should not be underestimated. The lows feel completely uncolored and extend down extremely well.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Great Sound, Made in USA, Quality build

Classic Grado Sound

17 April 2012
  • Excerpt: These cans are open and therefore really only can be used in environments that can deal with the sound. Additionally when you have a quiet music passage you will hear the outside world, they do not isolate at all. Other than that these are simply awesome. They have great sound clarity, mids are tremendous, bass is clean, but not pounding - if you are looking for basshead headphones these are not for you, if your looking for clarity and good soundstage these are...

Listen thru Computer thru DAC and Amp

Chris, B&H Photo
2 August 2010
  • Excerpt: I have a huge library of music painstakingly imported into my computer home net without using compression so I can listen to the actual music. I have the music go thru a DAC and into an AMP then to the RS 2i's... WOW. I had other Grado headphones and they were great but I was always envious of my buddy who had RS 2's. They are wonderful, comfortable and allow me to escape to an environment of pure music pleasure.
  • Pros: Clear Sound

Amazing Set. Well worth the cost.

  • Excerpt: I mainly use these headphones for producing but sometimes I'll use these instead of speakers to listen to music. The sound is unbeatable. If you care about the sound of your music, buy these. I tried both the RS2i's and the RS1's and there wasn't enough of a difference to warrant the extra money in my opinion.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Use, Lightweight
