Summary: These are the best sounding headphones I've ever heard. They are amazing for strings and mid-tone instruments, really drawing them out. They have surprising bass kick but it is tight and not overpowering. Since getting them I find myself re-listening to music I own to see what really is there. The build quality is good and there is a tactile quality with the wood that I haven't had with a set of headphones before.
Pros: Great sound, warmth and presence. Surprising bass.
Cons: Fit might not be for everyone. Heavy cord is not as flexible as some might like.
Summary: Cult following Grado's. Handmade in Brooklyn NY USA. Beautiful, detailed high resolution sound. Must be heard to be believed. Be sure to give them several hours to break in, as the sound will bloom and warm up with time. The mahogany on these phones adds a touch of elegance and contributes to their incredible warm and detailed sound.
Pros: The sound!
Cons: The cord is way too short - it's 6 feet long at best.
Summary: After reading the other reviews I expected the RS2's to hurt. When I put them on I realized that the only uncomfortable part of these cans is the pads. I used the pads from my SR125's and now the RS2's are comfortable.
The sound that this headphone produces is amazing. Now music has a new dynamic range. All it takes is one listen from these headphones and you have to own a pair.
Summary: By paying $500, it may seem like you should get the top of the line of a companies headphone. With the Grado RS-2, you nearly do. The RS-1 sells for $200 more but the difference is minimal. Most people who listen to them side by side would probably choose to save the extra money......unless money is no object.
These headphones are classy from the getgo. They arrive in a wooden box. They are made of real mahogony wood.

Summary: they are worth the money. fantastic headphones . i am using them with my iphone 6 plus, but make sure that you have headphone amp , definitely better than Bose. the only down side is that whoever is next to me can hear what i am listening... even when volume is low....
Summary: Well having been lucky enough to have gained near perfect pitch which came to light during an interview for music college years ago,and being the son of a circuit church organist also playing a few (at least five) musical instruments i KNOW what sound should feel like were not talking graphs or charts but that deep connection you can make on an emotional spiritual deep level with your music of choice,These Grado RS2i headphones are simply the best vehicle to utilise to...
Summary: Received these this afternoon and haven't been able to stop using them, I mainly listen to rock and metal and these are the perfect headphones for me. I can only compare it to the difference between tape and cd.. I have to listen to my whole library again as I'm hearing things I didn't before, bear in mind they need a good amp behind them imho, I'm using a Yamaha rxv1300 and a Marantz ki sig so it's not a problem but I'm not sure they would work as well of an ipod's...
Summary: i have owned grado sr125i, i own rs2, sr325is and sennheiser hd650. RS2 are simply the best ! Well balanced, they have the right punch, warm and bright at the same time but not too bright as 325 and not closed and laid back as hd650.
Summary: Ich höre den Grado RS 2i über KHV Grace Audio Design 902 aus dem Studiobereich.
