BEST EVER

JERRY from BEGGS, OKLAHOMA, Sonic Electronix
17 April 2015
  • Conclusion: The clearest richest headphones i ever heard. Cost a lot but, well worth it. I have another company's headphones that is very expensive but have to crank my apm way up to get sound and it is not as clear and rich the grado. With the grado i just turn the amp up a quarter of the way.

  • Summary: I'm not the reviewing type, but I wanted to make sure that these got another positive review. They have been, in my estimation, savagely and unfairly maligned on Head-Fi, mostly by people who have never owned them.
  • Pros: Soundstage, tonality, verve
  • Cons: Floppy and awkward

  • Summary: The Grado PS1000 is considered one of the best headphones available in the headphone world and has been compared to the likes of the Sennheiser HD800, Beyerdynamic T1, the Audez’e LCD-3, and the HiFiMan HE-6.
  • Pros: Detailed Spectrum - Realistic Imaging - Bass Quality & Depth - Extended Highs - Warm Midrange
  • Cons: Choice Materials - Can Be Overly Bright - Too Forward - Bass Surge Isn't Enough

  • Summary: Introduction:-   Thought it was high time that someone populated at least one profile review concerning these much maligned flagship cans from Grado.   The PS1000 ranks alongside the other two flagships from Audio Technica and Ultrasone - the W5000 and Edition 10 as the three outsiders of choice...
  • Pros: Majestic and very full sounding, sound stage depth unparalled, bass detail is one of the best
  • Cons: Weight, headband needs to be re-trimmed in the long term, distant sounding recordings will sound even more sucked out.

Are those Angels I can hear singing?

Robert Groom, Amazon

  • Summary: When approaching *the Grado*, every nerve within my frame tingles with anticipation. Senses crave new satisfaction yet fear the unknown summits to which they may be led, innocent as babes. First, the physical: we are not worthy.

Astonishing

  • Summary: FIRST IMPRESSIONS ================= They do look impressive. Compared to the PS1000, PS1000 well. they look quite similar. The cable is thicker (12 conductors vs. 8). SOUND ===== They are much more superior to Bose headphones. And they are much more expensive.

Zero shock and awe, just simple music

Mr. K. Hubbard "kevinatkhco", Amazon
6 February 2014
  • Summary: Just taken delivery of a pair of Grado PS1000 headphones, so this is purely my initial impressions ... there is no shock and awe with these 'phones, they just present music as the sound mastering, musicians and producers wanted. Take The Dandy Warhols ...

The Sound Of Heaven

J. Highton "Jonboy", Amazon
7 June 2012
  • Summary: Ok, I like and collect headphones, earphones and various other headphone peripherals such as amps and DACS. Though I have a seperate Hi Fi set up I tend to do most of my listening using headphones via an iPod Classic, lossless files, digital signal through a Cypher Labs Algorythm Solo DAC and...
