  • Summary: There's a competitive market for a cheap, good-sounding portable. At $49, the iGrado tries for portability and clean sound. This phone comes in two variants:the original black, and the translucent white. - Considerably smaller than the SR60, the iGrado has a behind-the-back design. The ear pressure is fairly hard, despite the pads; in fact, the edges of the pads may dig into your ears over time. It takes about an hour before you might feel pain in one ear or another.

  • Summary: MY TEST SETUP: MP3-player: Sandisk Sansa Fuze Music: FLAC Amp: Portable FiiO E5 - the stock version is a joke (extreamly uncomfortable) - it looks ugly on your head - very good sound for your money - cheap materials - great texture in sound - sometimes unstable (wobbly) sound - enough bass - some details are lost - after my modding it is very comfortable (i use it with an Sennheiser PX-100 headband) - good for MP3 too - very good value – but you have to mod it (headband...

Have to admit I'm a bit disappointed with these

RobF, Amazon
22 February 2015
  • Summary: Have to admit I'm a bit disappointed with these. I bought them on the recommendation of a friend. The sound reproduction is excellent so no problems whatsoever, there. But they are not a great fit for me over the ears. The reason that I gave 3 stars however is that they leak sound which can be readily heard by those nearby, even at reasonable levels of volume. For the money, I would not expected that to be a issue.

iGrados: Make sure you get the ones with the upgraded cables!

Miskatonic, Amazon
24 October 2014
  • Summary: Review of the iGrados: I love the quality of the sound of these headphones, but as others have noted the cables tend to fray, caused by a combination of an inflexible cable sheath and a lack of tension management. I sent mine to the official iGrado repair company, who replaced the cable with the exact same one despite telling me they were going to fit the newer, less troublesome one.

Superb sound for the money but flimsy

S. Glass, Amazon
3 March 2012
  • Summary: I've owned two pairs of igrados but after the second pair broke (just out of warranty, like the first) I decided to look elsewhere. Sure, they sound great but the flimsy design almost makes them unfit for purpose (mobile usage). A folding design, and much hardier cabling would improve these headphones hugely. If the sound quality was just ok, I would be giving these 1 star.

wonderful sound, but they don't last long

Carson W. Rees "Carson", Amazon
23 March 2011
  • Summary: the sound quality of these ear phones is incredible, a liquid beauty that is breathtaking in its neutrality, a joy from the first listen. however, with every joy in life, there is a sadness... the joy is short-lived, they don't last. after about a year, a year of infrequent use, i use sennhauser cx300 ii for on the move/travel listening, which eats up much of my listening time, the sound in the left ear ended, and the phones were sadly of no more use.

Great sound, shame about the design..

Dm Blackwell "Dazmb", Amazon
14 October 2008
  • Summary: The iGrado's feature the same drivers as the SR-60's, so you can be sure of a nice smooth and detailed sound. Top marks for that. But the design/ergonomics are poor. They look silly wearing them to start with. I can't imagine you would EVER wear them outside as you look like a Cyberman! (plus they are open design - so everyone else can hear your music too..).

hmmm

Rob "bungi", Amazon
11 January 2008
  • Summary: The sound quality is well rounded with excellent tone across the range. The drivers are dynamic and these are the best headphones I've ever used on a portable device. The sound quality is not far behind my studio headphones which cost a lot more. On the down side, the head band is stiff and makes the positioning of the earpieces difficult, so they are not very comfortable, and the wires are extremely thin and poorly arranged, forming an old fashioned yoke, rather than...

Erwartungen nicht erfüllt!

U. Weber "udokarl", Amazon
11 September 2014
