Summary: I bought these headphones with great anticipation, I mean the reviews were awesome, the name was awesome, I was expecting greatness. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Reason is that even though the sound quality is very good it was to me clinical and lacking any kind of soul. I want some kind of life in my headphones, I want them to 'bounce' with energy. iGrado just don't.
Summary: After being really excited to receiver my iGrados just before Christmas, I soon became disappointed. They were uncomfortable to wear (the band takes a good while to stretch, but even then it is still painful), they are really affected by the wind when you're out and about, but most importantly the sound quality was not as I expected. After giving them a good few weeks to burn in there was still some notes missing in the left ear (low bass sounds very unclear).
Summary: I'll start with the positive. The sound is extremely detailed with almost no distortion at higher volumes but it's all downhill from there, however. The wire is very short, making it useful only with small, portable devices such as iPods (which defeats the point in the higher sound quality. If you plan to use these at your computer, be prepared to take these off and put them back on again when you need to get up.
Summary: Haedphones are basically speakers that you wear on your head, the problem I heave with the iGrados's is that while they undoubtedly have great sounding speakers, for me they were very uncomfortable when put on the head! (actually these fit round the back of the neck), but either way, I couldn't seem to find any way of adjusting them, so I sent them back. I've now bought the Koss Porta Pro's which arguably have inferior speakers but are much more comfy to wear.
Great sound, cheap finish, broken within four months

Summary: These do sound great, especially if you are using them on an ipod or iphone. The general build and feel is horrible, one of the most aesthetically displeasing headphone sets I have tried, the plastic feels awful and the cable is so thin and sticky you suspect they won't last a week (I own the SR-80's which by comparison look and feel great) I'm a cyclist and like the neckband style for keeping them fixed in place on the go but in other situations like train travel they...
Summary: Well I guess you either love or hate the Grado sound, and I fall into the latter group. I auditioned these in a local hi-fi shop (they ordered them in especially) and I was reminded why this is essential! I've seen plenty of 5 star reviews in the industry press, but when listening to them with my broad music tastes I found flaws that I just couldn't live with!
Summary: 1. Stiff and inflexible yoke. 2. Initially they give you the feel that they fit well but as the drums don't move or give around the ears they get uncomfortable after a lot of use. 3. Poor quality foam on the drums that started tearing after just 1 month of use. 4. The igrado mark is a sticker on the yoke that fell off after the second week. 5. The Y cable has a sticky feel and gets in the way.
