Excerpt: The sound is great-- much deeper and richer than what came w/ my iphone. One weird thing is that you can hear when you hit the wire really loudly-- sort of hard to explain. If you stick your finger in your ear and flick it you can sort of hear/feel it; that's what happens when you're listening to something and your wires are moving around. I like them enough to continue using them but probably not the best ear buds out there.
Excerpt: Sounds good but not great like other Grados! Made in China, which was disappointing. Kinda big for buds. I'd recommend them to friends but there are other buds worth having a look at before you buy. really comes down to do they sound good? -iGi's do. 2. Are they comfy? -You have to try before you buy3. Can you afford `em? -Price is competitive with other Chinese-made better buds.
Excerpt: I have long been skeptical of in-ear headphone, finding that the fit it inconsistent, uncomfortable, etc. Having long owned and loved Grado over-the-ear headphones for my home stereo, I thought I'd give these a try because I've wandering in the jungle of unsatisfying competitive products for years. THESE ARE GREAT. Love the fit, love the sound, and I'm hearing my music on my ipod better than ever. I would buy these again without hesitation.
Summary: I previously owned a pair of the Grado SR60s and loved them, so when it came time for a set of in ear headphones with a budget of about $100, I decided to go with the Grado iGi's. Sound quality is great, and seems good value for the price range.
Summary: Phenomenal sound and comfort for the price. Spatial imaging is impeccable, highs are rich and precise--cymbals are dreamy. Sound is very spacious, may sound odd at first. Burn-in and experimenting with ideal fit will help. I love both (higher priced) Shure's I've tried. These aren't necessarily better, but there is greater clarity. I've caught many new details in favorite recordings.
