Extremely good sound isolation

Brian, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: these headphones provide excellent isolation from outside sound. So well that it is necessary to use the external mic with awareness app if you intend to walk or ride in traffic. The bass response is not as good as the Aavantree Sacool bluetooth headphones I own but they are more comfortable and the wide selection of your tips is a great benefit. Previously I used musicians air plugs by Etymotic which influenced my decision to try these headphones.

Lousy mic

  • Excerpt: I have always been a big fan of the Etymotics brand. The noise isolation in their products is the best out there. That combined with small size has made me a fan over the years. This purchase was my 5th pair. It was a mistake. My intention was to use it on my laptop. The people that I talk to over Skype dont hear me. So I have given up using it.

Best Headphones for Work Under $[$]

iHartsough, B&H Photo
30 September 2013
  • Excerpt: I use these headphones every day at work and on my commute. They are perfect for blocking extra noise from subway cars and coworkers. The sound is crystal clear, and not nearly so bass-heavy by default. The combination of these features means I can listen to anything from Haydn quartets to house music without blowing my ears out. Some might find that the ear bud size options aren't for them. They also sit far in your ears (more so than most buds).
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy Controls, Lightweight, Versatile

good sound uncomortable bass shy

  • Excerpt: This earphones produce an honest sound with enough detail but they are uncomfortable because you have to have a very tight fit and I could get it only with the foam inserts. I didn't try the custom fittings but read somewhere they are hard therefore I am not sure they will add to comfort. They are not bass champs I would say they are bass shy even in a tight fit situation.

Good isolating earbuds

  • Excerpt: Great for use where you really want total isolation from outside sound. I use them when cutting the grass, doing woodworking, and the like. They have an app that uses the mic to feed in outside sound, but I found it really drains the battery. In order to get the isolation, they do seat deep into your ear canal, so if you are sensitive to pressure in the ear, these may not be for you. Sound quality is great.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy Controls, Good Isolation, Lightweight

  • Excerpt: You have to buy extra ear pieces with this item The manual says that every few weeks you should change the earpiece since they start deforming. My foam earpiece already started breaking up.
