Extreme Isolation!

Gospel Music Today, B&H Photo
3 June 2013
  • Excerpt: I need to listen to audio from a live concert mixing board fed to my camcorder. I can see the meters, but until now I have never been able to actually hear the audio feed. Now I can, even though the camcorder does not have a very powerful oupout. These headphones cut down the concert sound so I can hear the audio feed. Perfect!

"Excellent headphones"

Andy, B&H Photo
29 November 2012
  • Excerpt: I use the headphones for DJing. They are great because they isolate what I'm hearing inside from the noise on the outside. Wonderful product, only thing not so wonderful is that they can wear a little bit tight.
  • Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Stylish
  • Cons: Uncomfortable

  • Excerpt: Durable set of phones. Simple design, Excellent at preventing outside sound from coming in. We use them at FOH for critical individual channel listening when mixing loud bands. Also great for drummers when recording.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable

NOT Worth IT!!

Jimmy P, B&H Photo
29 February 2012
  • Excerpt: Not BAD but defiantly NOT GOOD! The only reason i purchased these headphones was because of the price and i have already ordered a replacement pair since these only lasted one week. Overall sound quality was good but the construction of the headphones is poor and the plastic broke. These are not made for ENG field work and are NOT Compact!, Durable! or Versatile at all.
  • Cons: Breaks Easily, Bulky/Heavy, Unreliable

Impressive

  • Excerpt: I use this product for critical listening while mixing and for recording. As well as music listening. I live in an unfortunately noisy area and these headphones help ALOT in only hearing the mix, and also if you just need to concentrate. It's passive noise block is quite nice. Even though they felt strange the first time, I wore them for 3 hours straight and realized they were fantastic for long durations- I didn't even notice them after a few minutes.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use
  • Cons: Bulky/Heavy

Perfecto choice for external monitoring

Celio Barros, B&H Photo
12 October 2011
  • Excerpt: A way to take care to your audition when monitoring a recording session from a concert/show. Confortable to use and a pleasant sound. However, I'll wouldn't try to use it to mix, as well as any other headphones.
  • Pros: Clear Sound
  • Cons: Bulky/Heavy

Used in audiometry research...

Dean, B&H Photo
3 March 2011
  • Excerpt: We purchased these headphones for a quick research solution for binaural isolation...essentially we wanted to reduce air conduction audio presented to one ear from reaching the other ear. The headphones provided on average 50 dB of isolation for this purpose. This is a quality product. The audio output diminishes with higher frequencies (>3000 Hz) due to the use of the physically larger speakers (with greater mass). ---Physics rules so don't complain!
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
