Expensive disposable

DJ, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: As most owners experienced, worked great, great sound, comfortable, but died after only a few uses (about 2.5hours of use)! Should have read reviews prior to wasting money on this product. All points to short circuit due to a few drops of sweat (as many experienced). This must be one of the worst purchases I've ever made, and I have made a few in my day. Note that I did not purchase these at B&H, but wanted to warn potential buyers as they carry this product.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Dies After 3h, Flimsy Construction, Poor Value

Terrible - NOT sweat proof

Garrett, Crutchfield
18 September 2013
  • Summary: These do not live up to their claims of being for "Exercise Freaks". We've had three pairs fail on us for an unknown reason. I think they are not sweatproof, but customer support at Denon keeps saying they are. They are insisting that we are charging them incorrectly and that charging them in the wall rather than the USB port on my computer is the reason they are shorting out. This seems very unlikely.
  • Pros: Good idea.... (if they worked)
  • Cons: Shorted out and stopped working after one run. We've had to replace these 3 times. Denon is lying about the problem and contradicting themselves. They are telling me I'm charging them wrong, but a representative from a different company said that there is no difference between charging on the computer and charging in the wall.

Good Concept, Poor Execution

KFunk, Crutchfield
22 August 2013
  • Summary: I purchased these through Crutchfield in October 2012. At first they were great. However, they soon shorted out and stopped working in Feburary 2013. Denon replaced them with a new pair in May which have also started shorting out and now they will not turn off. All of the negative online reviews are met with a reply from Denon offering to replace them for free. It's time consuming and they request all of your original purchase documents in order to honor the replacement.
  • Pros: adjustable ear piece, easy to use controls, quick set-up
  • Cons: don't appear to be truly waterproof, frequent shorting of wiring, poor battery life
