Summary: I bought this product because I trust the manufacturer's (Denon) name. Great sound, comfortable fit and reasonably priced. Compared to others, it surpasses some while falling short of others whose prices are double (if not triple or more) what I paid.
First of all, you can find AH-D310 online for as little as $32, which makes them a very good deal. Possibly better than some $50-70 headphones, even. The "R" version has a microphone and IPod control, it's a bit more expensive, but worth it if you need that. So overall the headphones are a very good replacement for a mobile phone earset, for the money
AH-D310 are Denon's cheapest/lowest AH-D model, now that the AH-P372 have apparently been killed off.
Pros: Warm. Fast dynamics, sensitive/loud, bright and airy enough for closed, good for weak players/phones. Great value as mobile phone headset.
Cons: Too bassy, sometimes honky, cups too small. "Asian midrange" bug (~220 Hz range sagging).
Summary: I bought these because i found in the ear bud type uncomfortable to wear for more than half an hour but these are wearable for hours at a time no problem plus i'm hearing new sounds in the music not heard before brilliant
Summary: This is my first review and i thought of saving few people from buying this product.lesson learned from this purchase is dont trust technical specs and the brand experience. These headphones uses one of the cheapest materials on planet earth.the cord is taken from a old fishing rag and the whole design is very uncomfortable. It lacks punch to the bass and cannot tolerate low frequencies.build quality is average.the only thing i liked is the mid range and high frequency...
Summary: After burning these in they produce a very nice sound, with an nice clear open feel, where each instrument can be defined. Bass is well controlled, yet still quite punchy although highs are not as great as they could be. Unfortunately the headphones feel creaky and are uncomfortable for long periods(3+hours), additionally the cable failed near the 3.5mm jack on my pair after only 1 1/2 months of moderate use.
Summary: I'm quite pleased with the sound quality of AHD310(It is not compatible with iPod, iPhone and iPad). I'm a little disappointed of it's wire, it looks harshly cheap and it was badly twisted in the package and I had to reshape it again. I am a little upset because i've expected to receive one of those Denon 100s anniversary T-shirts. However.....It's a good choice if you're looking for a noise cancelling headphone because it does cancel reasonable amount of noise.
