Summary: By WhatISayHasMerit These have a really bad flaw in them, in that the place where they're extendible to fit your head is made of a brittle plastic that easily fatigues and eventually snaps, leaving the speakers dangling and broken. I managed to fix one side (right) with epoxy, and the other side gave out about 3 months later. The left side didn't take as well to the epoxy unfortunately, and broke once again very shortly.
Summary: By Ciaran *See bottom of review to see why I downgraded my review to three stars* Allow me to begin by saying that as things stand, this is a 3.5 star product. I really do love certain things about it, however there are some caveats I am finding hard to ignore. Comfort: This is a very comfortable headset to wear for long periods of time. I have found that both long video-editing sessions and long gaming sessions have led to little discomfort.
Summary: This is the second set I have had in 2 years. The first set broke because I got the cable caught on my chair and it threw the headset to the ground. The joint just about the swivel just snapped clean off. The second set after a year is starting to crackle, not sure if it is a cabling issue or the speakers are coming loose.
Summary: pros: cheap, light weight, surround sound, good base. cons: not comfortable to wear, the parts that hold the ear buds and upper parts are completely made of plastic so don't expect a long life for the headset.
Summary: Very comfortable over long periods of time. Game sound good but overall original master volume quiet. It's a gaming headset and the mic is clear and the gaming sound crackle free. However, if like me you want a pair of headphones that you can also listen to music on every now and again I found these extremely poor; with music often sounding garbled.
Summary: The sound quality is great and it has some nice features, it is also very comfortable. you can remove the mic and headphone jacks from the USB sound card so you could plug them into a phone or mp3 player. The description says that it is surround sound this may be misleading because it is not "true" 5.1/7.1 it is emulated through the sound card which makes it work OK in some games and movies but sometimes it just sounds stereo such as in older games.
Summary: I bought this because I wanted some good surround sound phones for gaming. The sound quality itself is good, plenty of range, and quite immersive, but I found the surround sound a bit iffy, and it didn't do a good job of apparently projecting sounds to front and back. It's subjective and others may not agree but I felt disappointed. Anyway, I returned them and tried the Logitech G35 phones, which did a better job, though at a slightly higher price.
Summary: I used to have Creative Fatal1ty Headset with the cold plate 3.5mm jacks not the USB and I loved them. Bass was great and sound was awesome. Broke them accidentally so had to look for a replacement and I thought to take a step and go for USB headset which still support 3.5mm jacks too. OK, they are made to work with Tru THX Pro Studio and they work well with it. Lots of customisation options to make your own profile.
Summary: Overall a good set of headphones for the price, but beware. The Memory Express website currently suggests that the headset features Bluetooth connections which is NOT correct. Not even the Soundblaster website suggests this.
Pros: Great sound quality, really quite powerful and dynamic
, Lightweight and comfortable
Cons: Cord seems flimsy
, Voice FX is cheesy and creates a delay
