Worth getting, don't recommend buying use since might be missing parts

generalstorehd, Ebay
14 April 2014
  • Summary: They sound amazing and very loud even though they do not have a power source (usb). The bass on these things is insane! I can't say much for the mic or the USB extension because it was never in the package. But I can assure you the sound is amazing and the bass will give you chills!

  • Summary: By Sabrina Nguyen First of all, I am by no means an audio expert, this review is intended for people who are looking for a decent headset at a decent price. I am simply reviewing this from a regular standpoint, if my opinion bothers you then don't read it and move on. I just want other customers to know what they are buying before they make their purchase.

Mic does not work!!!

Creative
29 December 2011
  • Summary: By Adrock I purchased these to compliment my Creative Fatality Pro sound card. I have been a Creative supporter for a long time and thought these would be great. I was dead wrong. Just like the sound card I had issues with software. I was always able to fix my SC problems but I have tried everything and I can't get the mic to work. I am running W7-64 bit. Nvidia 285's SLI, 1000 watt power supply, I7 960hz processor, 16gb ram.

Flimsy Plastic

Creative
24 November 2011
  • Summary: By Jonny Moseley I bought these headphones with the hopes that they would be better than my $30 Plantronics Gaming Headset. I was completely wrong. These headphones look great in the box, but when you take them out and actually put them on your head is where the problems start, and there are a lot of problems. These headphones are made from cheep flimsy plastic that will break if used heavily. The cans do not stay on my head, and I have a rather large head.

I don't have to hear Starcraft!!

Creative
11 August 2011
  • Summary: By Celeste "Vodka, Apple Pucker & Sweet 'n' Sour" First off, there was a slight glitch with these headphones, but with a little help from the internet, it was easily fixed. Our PC is running 64 bit Windows 7, and when Mike first tried to install the drivers, it would freeze up the system. It would eventually start working, but the microphone and headset would disappear.

User Review

imagic, head-fi.org
10 July 2011
  • Summary: No other headphone has surprised me in the manner that the Tactic 3D managed to.    I originally purchased them because I needed headphones to do a Skype interview, and I wanted something kind of ridiculous and flashy, because I was going to be on video. The Tactic 3D seem like a perfect choice, with flashing LEDs on each ear cup.   When I first hooked it up, I installed the software and plugged in the USB cable.
  • Pros: USB, detachable cord, sound quality, comfort, durability
  • Cons: Braided USB cable transmits sound to the headset. USB DAC is of modest quality. Requires some modification to get the most out of them.

An honest review of the Sigma 3D headset

Creative
27 June 2011
  • Summary: By A. F. Otayde "Amazon Geek" Before I start, let me do a quick comparison between the fatality headsets on Windows 7. The Champion Series headset was a waste of $$ since the regular headset was way better (louder). So I'll compare this to the regular fatal1ty headset. Before starting, you have to plug the headset to the THX USB then to the pc before you download the drivers in order for this to work. There are 2 different types of firmware.

Take Caution

Creative
25 June 2011
  • Summary: By Elaline M. Smith "sunnybrook" When I first got it everything worked great. It's comfortable, the sound quality is awesome, and the microphone worked well. But a month or two later the microphone just randomly stopped working. I didn't drop it or abuse it in any way - I'm very careful with my headsets. I tried it on a few other computers that were XP and Vista and neither of them worked either.

Microphone stops working randomly

Creative
16 February 2011
  • Summary: By JakkaLakka Please see the review from another reviewer reporting the same problem. This headset is awesome, great sound and nice weight and quality. The microphone however, randomly stops working. I have tried both direct connections to my sound card and USB and the microphone just doesn't work. It worked for 2 days or so before all of a sudden going silent and never coming back.
