Amazing sound, but kind of small

Srinidhalaya, Amazon
2 January 2015
  • Summary: Amazing sound, but kind of small. I have a large Neanderthal shaped head, and it is painful on my monkey like ears. No adjustments for width. Everything else is rock solid.

The hardware itself is very nice, and feels well made

Anthony T., Amazon
18 October 2014
  • Summary: The hardware itself is very nice, and feels well made. The only problem is I've had to restart the computer more times in the last 3 days than I have in the previous month. It develops random popping/echo in World of Warcraft that only rebooting has solved.

Attention to detail not there

Sean, Amazon
22 September 2014
  • Summary: There were some initial issues updating the firmware on the Recon3D unit but that was resolved. Overall sound quality is decent. The cushions are comfortable for an hour or two of use but since it's closed condensation starts to build and becomes uncomfortable.

Excelent sound, poor usability

George S., Newegg
21 February 2014
  • Summary: I love how these feel, but I wouldn't make this purchase again. Yes I play games, yes the 3d and THX are nice, but in my opinion I'd rather give up some audio quality for the ability to easily turn the unit on and off, have a visual indicator that the mute (on the headset) is on, and better buttons.
  • Pros: I got these for myself for Christmas as my old logictech clearchat headphones were getting pretty long in the tooth. After using these for about two months I can definitely say that the audio quality is absolutely superb. The sound combined with the software make playing games a treat. Since my d...
  • Cons: The downside to these guys may unfortunately outweigh the pros. 1. They are expensive. I paid right around $200 which I feel is about 50$-60$ more than the quality deserves. I chalk this up to the fact that it does come with decent software for managing the sound as well as being designed for mul...

AMAZING SOUND QUALITY

Amazoner, Amazon
5 February 2014
  • Summary: I received this headset on the 30th of January this year. I was ELATED to finally get them as I had read and researched so much about them and had determined that they were the best gaming headset on the market. I use them for my PS4 which works perfectly with the chat as well. Why 3 stars?

Not sure what to think about these headphones

davidst95, Amazon
31 January 2014
  • Summary: This headphones take some time to set up. When I connect the Recon3D to the PC with the USB cable I get crackling and popping sounds. I ended connecting it using the optical cable which seem to fix the problem.

Shouldn't fall apart so easily!

Jonathan T., Newegg
24 November 2013
  • Pros: Awesome sound quality, works on many different gaming platforms and love the fact it is wireless!
  • Cons: Very disappointed that I've only owned this product for less than a year and is already falling apart. The parts that holds the ear phones begin to break after like a year. I just think it should last longer than 11 months of daily use given how expensive these are!
