If they work for you, Great.

Summary: I was looking for some headset that was wireless for my PC. I chosed these because of a friend but did not want to spend money on a new pair. I bought a used pair and when I got it and installed it, everything was great for a month. Then the Receiver would not power on anymore and never came back on unless I moved some wires around to magically come back on. Then it powered off again. I was not happy after the first month was over.
Have gone through three of these and they each have failed. Buy a different one

Summary: Please read this review before you buy. I have been through three of these. I will be blunt: Stay away from this one. I wish this headset would not fail. I absolutely loved everything. The sound, the mic, it is a wonderful headset to use when you don't want to buy an internal card and a high end headset. So why not buy it? The issue is with the Sound Card USB portion of the device. It does not have an off and on switch. It can only power down when the computer is off.
It's good when it works. When it doesn't it's beyond bad.

Summary: These started off so wonderful. They were wireless, they had decent sound quality (though they lacked power in the bass department and the mic was a little oversensitive). But they broke. You see they rely on firmware to wok and for some reason mine was fine for a while and then the transmitter wouldn't turn on. and if the transmitter doesn't turn on the sound doesn't reach your ears. Customer service was nightmarish.
Summary: Everything that came with it was pretty cool. I was so excited to try it out for the first time seeing as I've always dealt with wired headsets. I loaded up all the software, installed the hardware and turned the volume up and guess what? No sound from left channel. I tried everything from new drivers to reloading software to resetting them and no change. This is the last time I order anything from Creative. Definitely not worth the price. Look elsewhere IMHO.
Pros: Great sound. Very good range. Comfortable. Uh-mazing microphone clarity (almost tooo good)
Cons: Taking my headphones off of my head the left earpiece broke at the screws. I tried to return the item thinking this was an easy fix and was told it was physical damage and not covered under my extended warranty. Attempting to appeal this but having read the other article on Newegg where the exact same problem happened to someone I'm cautiously skeptical.
Summary: Get another long cable for charging the headset during use, and plug it directly into the computer. NOT the transmitter. Place your transmitter and never ever move it. Wireless is overrated. Have one less thing to worry about, and just get wired.
Pros: The sound is fantastic. The padding is comfortable. The headset is super sturdy. The wireless range is reasonable. Battery life is reasonable for a casual user... which I'm not.
Cons: That transmitter USB port broke off on the INSIDE after I tried to use the headset while it was charging on the transmitter. It is now rolling around. Not covered by warranty. *** THIS HEADSET CANNOT FUNCTION WITHOUT THE TRANSMITTER. YOU CANNOT PLUG IT DIRECTLY INTO THE COMPUTER BY ITSELF. *** For 200 dollars I at least expected these to be able to function on wire as a backup, or even a chip that wasn't soldered by 2 year olds. Huge disappointment.
Summary: Unbelievably dumb on/off switch. I would have rated it 5stars except for the on/off switch.
Pros: Excellent sound, I like the over-the-ear design.
Cons: The on/off switch is ridiculous. I read the reviews commenting on the switch and I thought... How bad can it be? I was SO WRONG. If the idea was to make it difficult to accidentally turn off or on... just recess the switch more. Having to hold the switch for 5seconds to turn it on isn't as annoying as turning it off. If you hold the switch too long... it stays on, or turns off/on and you have to start over. Many times I've put it down thinking it was off, to come hour...
Summary: A pair of Sennheiser headphones are cheaper and sound better. I would not get this for the sound quality. While the 3D sound is impressive (for headphones) when there is a single point source, in actual gaming or surround sound movies this is very rarely the case. When there are multiple sound sources, they just sound like cheap circumaural stereo headphones.
Pros: Comfortable, lightweight considering everything in the headset, wireless works well, battery lasts long.
Cons: Sound quality was not that great. Transmitter is in the base station rather than a little usb stick like the Tactic3D Wrath. 3D sound positioning is nonexistent when more than a single sound source.
Summary: The headset itself is very nice. My biggest issue is with the microphone. The microphone picks up everything that is playing over the earpiece. I contacted Creative and their solution was to turn the mic volume below 18%. That's great Creative. The noise is gone, but now people can't hear me.
Summary: Well, sadly it's been barely less than a year and half, and the Recon3D wireless receiver just stopped working. No longer powers on, which means you can't use the headset. I did contact customer support, their guess was corrupted firmware in the Recon3D receiver. After several failed attempts to reinstall firmware, it was concluded that I just have a faulty device now.
