The Omega is decent but the scout mode sounds terrible but serves its purpose I guess
3 weeks ago
Summary: Both ear muffs have repeatedly fallen off after about a week of use. They are very uncomfortable after an hour or two. The The system just feels old. The Omega is decent but the scout mode sounds terrible but serves its purpose I guess. Even the mic sounds mediocre. I should've done more research before purchasing these. Not worth 250 or even 150 for that matter. Just don't waste your money on these old headsets.
Summary: I read plenty of reviews on this headset before buying and many say the ear-cups break rather easily, and after using them for some time and seeing how inflexible they are around the head I can understand how easily it would be to break the plastic connecting the ear-cup to the band, however overall the sound and voice quality is great and the wireless functionality is of course very nice.
Pros: -Looks great, especially with the LEDs turned up. -Great sound quality from highs and lows (even better with Creative software) -Great voice quality from included microphone -Comes with a nice stand -Wireless (of course) -Good range -Detachable microphone -On-board volume / mute buttons -Good battery if used wisely (I have the LEDs turned off most of the time and turn the headphones off when not using them.)
Cons: -Very tight fitting around the head (not very flexible in that dimension) -Somewhat shallow ear-cups (my ears sometimes become irritated from touching the inside of the ear-cup) -Somewhat heavy sitting on my head (can sometimes be uncomfortable) -Headset does not sit well on the stand WHILE it is charging (the cable input on the headset is on the bottom of the left ear-cup and touches the bottom of the stand) -LED on receiver blinks constantly
Summary: +excellent surround sound, i can hear above, below, and all around in counter strike, better than Logitech g930 +excellent surround sound on ps3 too, i can hear all around, loud and clear +looks sexy +super easy to setup with PC or PS3, the reason i bought it for, these two systems, and i heard it works on ps4 +detachable mic +updating was a breeze +software SUPER easy to use -earcup came out a little at one area, had to restuff it in myself, expected better quality, not...
Summary: Researched many wireless headsets, followed the blogs and had several others. Found them fragile with mediocre sound. I am using this as "outside of the official recommendations" according to the Creative help line. I do not use it for gaming but I do use other Creative products for that. I only use it as a wireless headset from a receiver output, no computer is involved. I must say that the operation is flawless and sound is spectacular.
Summary: I was looking for some headset that was wireless for my PC. I chosed these because of a friend but did not want to spend money on a new pair. I bought a used pair and when I got it and installed it, everything was great for a month. Then the Receiver would not power on anymore and never came back on unless I moved some wires around to magically come back on. Then it powered off again. I was not happy after the first month was over.
The hardware itself is very nice, and feels well made

Summary: The hardware itself is very nice, and feels well made. The only problem is I've had to restart the computer more times in the last 3 days than I have in the previous month. It develops random popping/echo in World of Warcraft that only rebooting has solved. That and it'll just randomly not produce ANY audio for some reason until I once again reboot. Unplugging and replugging in the unit does nothing. I'm not sure if this is a Win8.1 problem or the device itself.
Was LOVING the set...for the entire SIX weeks that they worked...

Summary: I have been a Creative SoundBlaster from waaaaay back. I still have a stack of old cards, at least six if memory serves. My main card now is a Z and it works great with my Logitech 5.1 system with optical out. This headset exceeded all of my expectations for gaming, music and movies. Until tonight when I discovered that the left side had died.
Summary: There were some initial issues updating the firmware on the Recon3D unit but that was resolved. Overall sound quality is decent. The cushions are comfortable for an hour or two of use but since it's closed condensation starts to build and becomes uncomfortable. The microphone picks up sound very well and is crystal clear.
Have gone through three of these and they each have failed. Buy a different one

Summary: Please read this review before you buy. I have been through three of these. I will be blunt: Stay away from this one. I wish this headset would not fail. I absolutely loved everything. The sound, the mic, it is a wonderful headset to use when you don't want to buy an internal card and a high end headset. So why not buy it? The issue is with the Sound Card USB portion of the device. It does not have an off and on switch. It can only power down when the computer is off.
Summary: Amazing sound quality. The scout works great on some games like COD Ghosts but on Black Ops 2, everything is just louder. The earpieces don't "boil" your ears like some people claim, of course if you wear something on your head for hours on end, then temperature will go up. Very comfortable. My ears are weird though because my left ear will start to hurt but my right will feel fine. The mic is horrible on the 360 but works perfectly on the PC and PS3.
