Bit of a marmite headset...

Summary: Have been on the lookout for the ideal high-end bluetooth headphones and came across these by chance - they do not appear in the normal searches as they are marketed as a gaming headset, but on reading the specs I ordered a pair (I never do gaming, btw): + excellent sound quality + comfortable to wear and reasonably light + so many widgets and flashing lights that you need to re-read the instruction booklet, but undeniably very well-specced + bluetooth phone calling is...
Summary: I bought this for its surround sound capability in PC gaming thinking that Creative had been clever with their Bluetooth implementation, but it turns out that surround sound is only implemented via USB. One of the plastic bits started crumbling so I returned it and had it replaced. The new headset stopped charging after a few days, but as I am an electrical engineer, I opened it up and found that the +5v lead was slightly loose on the internal PCB connector.
Summary: Ok, these headphones are expensive and the first pair I received were faulty, but all it took was one email and another pair arrived the next day, also Amazon gave me ample time to return the faulty pair which were collected by Amazon arranged courier. The headphones are really bloody comfortable, the cushioning is the softest I've experienced (and I've tried on a lot). The sound quality is spot on!
Summary: I'll keep it short and to the point. It's a lovely headset - the build quality is top quality. Can't complain about the functionality - it comes with a bunch of stuff (see item details). The software is not bad too - you can change your audio profile much like the varying 'mood' settings on your TV (movie, sports dynamic etc). The audio quality is pretty good (not perfect, sorry, I'm an audiophile).
Summary: I ordered these thinking I could use them with the bluetooth on my windows 7 laptop, unfortunately this is not the case. I use the USB cable instead and that does the trick, I can have it simultaneously connected to my iphone via bluetooth though so if I'm on the computer with my headphones on and a call comes in, i just press the button on my cans and the call is picked up.

Summary: Sometimes a piece of tech looks functional, sometimes it looks stunning - this is the latter. I'll talk about the aesthetics first as this is the first thing to strike you; the black and red looks superb, even the leads which come with it have black connectors with that same shocking orange/red cable. The stitching on the leather earpieces adds yet more detail. Sometimes a colour-scheme can look tacky, but not here. These are classy and funky looking.
Summary: I must admit that prior to these the only headphones I had used were the ones provided with my iPod. I now realise what I was missing out on! This means that this review is very positive, however I have not used different headphones to compare my experience to. They are very simple to use and hold their charge very well. They have never run out of battery when I have needed them and they charge pretty quickly through the cable into the computer.
Great sound - when the bluetooth decides to work!!!

Summary: Over the years I have used a great number of headphones by all the top makers. Most have been disappointing, while a small selection have been a real joy to use. These Creative Sound Blaster EVO ZxR Over-ear foldable headphones do produce very nice sound, which really do have that WOW factor. They have an abundance of features too thus making them a technophile dream.
Summary: This is basically an upgraded version of the ZX model and as such suffers from the same problems. If you are a gamer who likes raw muddy bass then this headset will be fine. If you are an audiophile who appreciates fine texture and clarity you will be disapppointed.
