Unbeatable for the price

Anthony C., Newegg
11 August 2012
  • Summary: I consider myself to be an audiophile. I'm so disappointed Creative isn't selling these anymore. If you can find these anywhere, get them. I've owned them for 4-5 years now and I've never stopped loving them. I'm going to use these until I die, or until they die, whichever comes first.
  • Pros: +I've never heard better sounding headphones in my life. These BLOW away any Beats or Bose headphones in my opinion, and it costs a fraction of the price. +I nailed the EQ for these on my Creative Soundblaster X-Fi, and oh man... it's like angels frolicking on my eardrums. +Even plugged straight ...
  • Cons: -The higher frequencies aren't the most refined-sounding, but it's negligible. -The two separate 1/8th jacks for the mic and headphones are a little annoying. -I wish the mic was detachable so i didn't feel like a dweeb while wearing these in public. -At first, they can be uncomfortable when wear...

Amazing Headset

William C., Newegg
27 August 2008
  • Summary: Amazing headset for the price! I had been shopping around for about a month before I bought these. I was looking for something I could wear for a long time and still be fairly inexpensive. **The inside of the cups are a little over 2" in diameter**
  • Pros: Crisp Clear Sound, great highs, really deep lows. If you need it for some serious bass, you will not be disappointed. But at the same time, it has great treble sound, and played some orchestra stuff extremely well. I put in some serious play time with these and Call of Duty 4, and they performed ...
  • Cons: Mid range sound is a bit lacking, but not terrible. Could do without the little clip on the cable.

Not great, much better to be had with others

Charles T., Newegg
19 August 2008
  • Summary: I think i'm going to try the TB 5.1 setup, as that has a chance of being good. I wish someone would make a *GOOD* set of cans with a mic.
  • Pros: They come with a little bag. They work, the SQ is comparable to my "old standby" the sennheiser pc-15x of which I've owned 3 sets.
  • Cons: The build quality isn't there, it feels cheap compared to the aforementioned set. The microphone adds a bit of background hiss that present with this headset only. They aren't particularly comfortable, in fact, the senn set is a lot more comfortable for extended periods of time, as an adult my he...

  • Summary: Best headset I ever bought. Definitely reccomended.
  • Pros: Great quality all around, can't hear a thing outside of the headset. Crystal clear mic quality. Comfortable fit.
  • Cons: Headset is a little tight and you will start to feel it after a few hours.

GREAT headphones, ehh headset

Mamoon B., Newegg
5 August 2008
  • Summary: great headphones, don't regret a thing, 1 egg off for the eh quality of the headphones, its totally liveable, but if the product doesn't work like it should, it doesn't deserve a perfect rating...
  • Pros: Sound is incredible, blocks everything at medium volume, especially if you need to ignore some parental units... a GREAT improvement over my Senn******'s HD202's...both in comfort and sound...the sound is pretty balanced, and is great for gaming, you can hear things behind you, no reason to buy t...
  • Cons: My biggest problem would be the microphone bleeding[people can hear what your hearing], it would be best to buy a seperate microphone and use that instead of the one that comes with this headset... when sound does work, its pretty clear...break in time was terrible, i felt ripped off when i first...

  • Pros: Great sound, extremely comfortable, crystal clear mic (from what people have told me), and handy features.
  • Cons: Really long cord considering my jacks are on the front, but I've tucked them away and it works just fine.

Nice.

robin f., Newegg
21 July 2008
  • Summary: I wouldn't buy these headpones again cause they are just too tight. However, since the quality is nice I'll probably give Creative another chance.
  • Pros: 1) The ear pads have a swad like cover over the padding. 2) The earphones adjust for height(but not width). 3) Microphone folds up beside the left earpeice. 4) It has a volume control for the headphones plus a mute for the microphone on the cord. 5) Has a clip on the cord so you can clip it to so...
  • Cons: These headphones are built very nice and I have to give Creative that. So I will go ahead and give them a five for overall quality. However, the big issue I have with them is the fact that they are so freaking tight. For a adult male with a normal size head these things are tight and hurt your ea...
