Summary: This product is great. For its price its exactly what I wanted. I use the headset for hardcore gaming, skyping, and watching movies on Netflix and the sound quality has been fine. The microphone works very well too and I've had no problems with it. It also seems very durable, I've had it for 5 months (handling it very roughly) and there doesn't appear to be any damage, overall it seems very durable.
Summary: The in-line controls being first, (because I think this is the only thing that has truly malfunctioned) the 'Volume Down' button works but the 'Volume Up' button no longer does...I think it pooped out about a year or so ago, but since I've had it for more than two years, it still lasted pretty long. But hey, I can still turn the volume up in my actual volume controls, so that's not huge.
Pros: First off, let me just say that I have put this headset through a beating and it is still going pretty strong. I've had this headset for over 2 years now actually (I think) and there are only a few things wrong with it (I'll get to those in the cons). The things that are still right with it are many.
Cons: Ok, so on to the things I didn't like, or stuff that has gone wrong.
Summary: It was a good price and seems sturdy. I haven't tested the microphone yet but the sound is good and it's comfortable. The removable microphone is nice if you're eating but would be better if it would just swing up.
Summary: Had one of these a while back that I bought for a little over $40. Loved the headset, is extremely comfortable and the mic has very good sound quality. Only reason my old one broke is because of some lag-related rage episode...I'm sure my fellow gamers can relate. Bought this for a friend since I already have a headset of my own and he's been using his laptop microphone ever since we started playing LoL together and I just couldn't take it anymore.
Summary: I purchased this headset really primarily because I'd read comments raving about them. I tend to break my headsets regularly...or rather my cat does, because he gets full range of the house and tends to trip over the wire at times. The other day I threw a toy duck and he took off after it, ripping the headset cord with him as he went, and the things still work. I am entirely impressed. Good price, and good quality! Would order them again.
Summary: Everyday I read reviews after reviews, I looked at side by side comparisons, and read product tester results for approx. a week before I finally decided on this headset. I actually use it for my Dragon software, as opposed to gaming, and I love it. I would buy this product again. If you do your homework, you'll be glad you did.
Summary: This has to be the best inexpensive gaming headset. I got mine almost a year and a half ago on sale for $30. I could easily hear enemies coming in most games. It has great bass and crystal clear sound. The microphone is better than average. But, the right headphone has started to go out. But for that much money It's pretty cheap to replace.
Summary: I had previously owned this headset for about 3 years before the wiring to the microphone finally broke. But during those three years, I used the headset heavily and carried it around with me to classes in college and even brought it along for a study abroad trip with no issues. Pros: - Durable - this thing lasted me a long time and i hope this new one will serve me just as well. - Carry bag - it has one!
